How is a 30% increase in damage over time a nerf?
They've gotten rid of a minor cc that has always been broken and replaced it with an increase its DoT, that sounds like a buff to me.
Or am i missing something?

Blazing SHIELD.
And in regards to Blazing Spear, the 30% is good, but consider the base damage. For most it is maybe 1000 (in PvE) so this amounts to 300 damage per second extra damage (150/s in PvP)
A % increase of a small number is a small increase.

We're talking about Blazing Shield, not Blazing Spear (Blazing Spear, or more exactly Luminous Shard, which you're talking about, share now a cooldown with orbs and return less ressources)
Ah, my bad, i always thought BlazPlar pertained to the use of blazing spear in a build, now i understand.

True, but an increase is still an increase, especially if that increase is because they got rid of an effect that wasn't working properly in the first place

Situations like this is whey they nerfed it. Also have you ran into an emp blazplar... Spamming one skill with 80k health should not be a viable build.

Do we balance around having two of something in the same place at the same time? The repentance nerf would suggest that no they don't give a flying f' if two of something is in the same place at the same time.

Its just irritating that we can provide encyclopedias worth of feedback and it gets ignored for token/useless buffs and nerfs no one is asking for.

I think a lot of the problems are with certain HA sets and they should have let your class defining skill alone. That being said blazing shields skill needed a rework. Stuff that scales with health is often problematic in that it is either not effective at all or it becomes a troll skill.
