The "Missing" Sorc Nerf

I see a lot of people searching high and low for the pet sorc nerf mentioned on the last ESO Live, but didn't they say this would be coming with early launch, not the last pts? If so, the smug sorcs and panicking non-sorcs need to chill.

Every class will get balanced up and down at some point.

People need to get off the band wagon now.

Also I am Nightblade main before you all start you stupid "Sorc player found" memes.

mm idk what they can do really....the pet is situational as it is you cant run it in some content at all..... so if u nerf it it might end up being be non-existent again it takes two slots on ur bar it should be worth those slots.

is it overperforming? probably...but what is a sorc parse on PTS without a pet look like? (real question im interested to know)

They said it is something that will be done in a future patch . You should watch the stream yourself instead of listening to other people :) Some good info there , I highly recommend it .

IMO the changes should come (if they have to come) not to the pets but to daedric prey. +55% is the cause of the boost in DPS.

Although, i have said before i did not think pet damage boosts was a good path... controlling pets is too mch trouble to make damage the goal. Pets should do some damage yeah but be more focused as "walking killable buffs or utilities" or possibly maybe "expendable executes" who blaze of glory out but then need to be resummoned - not wandering DPS.

Agree, the +55% on familiar's pulse are too much. But, for the sake of that daedric bat and the physical dmg dinosaur, they should handle it like the atronach: same bonus to clannfear and twilight, but less bonus for the ultimate and the vol. familiar.

They did nerf the pet sorcs.

Twilight matriarch can't heal through walls anymore.

    Though that's about it...
    NB enthusiastic:
    1. Woodhippie stamblade - DW hard-hitter / PvE
    2. Know-it-all elf Magblade - Healer / PvE & PvP
    3. Hate-them-all elf Magblade - Destrostaff AoE monster / PvE
    4. Cyrodiil-Refugee stamblade - Stamina Tank / PvE

    Go dominion or go home

personally i would go the route to make prey and curse identical - the same cycle time to first whammy and second whammy , but prey would have no AOE but enrage pets to that target (say +25%, maybe oblivion dmg) maybe more maybe less while curse would go BOOM and do the aoe parts. One become an AOE non-pet effect the other becomes a single target pet magnet.

Just to clarify and make sure we're all on the same page, the Sorc adjustments and changes to Siphoning Strikes are not included in this patch. These will be coming in next week's PC patch on Live.

I did. I watched it live. I'm asking because I don't remember, can't currently scrub through the vod to check, and think that if it's true, it's something that a lot of the people jabbering on this forum should know.

People just like to look at numbers and not how and where they were achieved. Imo it is kind of shady to drop the changes with the patch and not with this pts cycle.

A deserved one. Heals should not LOS. This is something the community wanted very badly and BoL got the same treatment. So, yes, Twilight heals not healing through walls is a good thing, and completely justified. Especially since it can crit some pretty high heals. Wouldn't want that happening in PvP, would we? :3

    Shady?

I work in software development - and also have a go-live VERY soon. Frantically trying to complete the changes that were promised, do last minute testing, implementation preparation, approvals/signoffs etc..

No, its not, because there's no control over the pet.

What I'd like to know is why ZOS has chosen this route of pushing big, untested changes directly to live right after they had a PTS.

Currently the main balance changes we know of that will be pushed May 22nd are a bunch of unknown Mag Warden buffs and the Mag Sorc pet nerf. Why not put these on PTS first to properly test?

If they are not done well, console will be stuck with whatever is broken or OP for a month or more.

At this point aren't we pretty much aware this Morrowind "early access" for PC is just glorified Beta/PTS on Live? I'm guessing they want more players to be running it and find out what breaks or what sets/etc to nerf into the ground before actual "official" launch in June.

I imagine it'll be rough on Live as soon as Early Access starts.

I don't even use pets with my sorc, they annoy me in trials.
