My "For Fun" Sword&Shield Stamknight DPS

Its not a true DPS in the sense of constant damage output, but it doesnt give out tickles either. Its my oddball for solo PvE, and if i want to go do a Dungeon i switch to Dual Swords so i dont accidentally steal Tank pulls with Ransack. Its neat how something different actually works...for the most part. Ive found though the proc from Tremorscale is quite nice over in PvP. Invasion+LA+Ransack has a bit of burst to it, though i used to wear Vipers Sting which also increased the burst, but dropped it for Morag to get more damage out of my Poison.

Khajiit
Thief Mundus

5pc Hundings
5pc Morag Tong/Viper's Sting
2pc Tremorscale

Sword&Shield Bar
Ransack
Camo Hunter
Venom Claw
Noxious Breath
Invasion
Take Flight

Bow Bar
Igneous Weapons
Lethal Arrow or Endless Hail
Poison Injection
Camo Hunter
Vigor
Standard of Might

2820 damage, 3400 buffed
67.4% crit

And CPs in Mighty, Precise Strikes, and Thaum.

Regen is crap though.

And to note, my own DPS with this character is 16k. :p

Also, i discovered Morag Tong is worthless. The 10% increase to my poison damage abilities made no difference in my DPS as opposed to when i used a set like Red Mountain. Pretty sure if i used Vipers itd be a little higher as that is garaunteed damage and not a chance proc.

Still, the main point of this build is solo PvE burst damage, not sustained boss stuff.

If you're up for suggestions on what else you could potentially replace Morag Tong with:

    Suggestion 1
5 pc Briarheart - Your crit is pretty high and you've got some strong dots, which are both good for setting off the proc that gives you extra weapon damage and healing.

    Suggestion 2
5 pc Toothrow - You'll get the major savagery bonus at all times, which will allow you to remove Camo Hunter from both bars, effectively freeing up 2 slots. In those 2 slots you could consider skills like Lightweight Beast Trap, and the bow ability Draining Shot, which would give you a CC ability (so far the only one I see is Take Flight) and some healing.

I think I'd lean towards suggestion 2, as I enjoy having versatility with slotting skills, but you'd be fine with either.

This build looks like it would benefit the most from poisonous serpent. It looks like would match very nice with Molag Tong and a stam DK.

Yeah, and one of the dungeons for Wayrest Sewers (I think it's number 2) has a beautiful run for Toothrow. Rings + Necklace + a Precise Bow (if you really want to stack the crit).

Correction: Ring and Necklace can drop from bosses in Wayrest Sewers 1, while the precise bow is from Wayrest Sewers 2.

Im honestly surprised! I was expecting the usual riff raff about how this is a worthless build that cant do any real PvE stuff but thanks guys, glad for the set suggestions!

It would be nice to free up another spot on my front bar, i could use Heroic Slash as a way to generate ultimate more quickly.

Good call. Faster ultimate generation equates to more Dragon Leaps! Easily the coolest looking and most fun skill to use in the game, for my taste.

It's been a long while since I've played a Stamknight like this, and of course there's been changes to several things that made this build incredibly fun, so I'd like to come back to this and get some more talk about how to edit the build in the current game.

    Change 1:
Viper's is now a Damage over Time proc, instead of a single tick of direct damage. That may not be a bad thing, but it does take away it's past Burst potential.

    Change 2:
They gave Tremorscale's proc a 1 second cast time....UGH. A victim of PvP feedback. The proc used to make this build have ferocious Burst damage, but now the 1 second delay pretty much ruined it. Especially in PvP now where your target will ALWAYS walk out of the cast area and in PvE the proc doesn't time with your rotation anymore.
