✭✭✭✭✭I spent a week trying to find a way to make enough space on my HD to install the PTS. Finally got there late last night. Got through the tutorial and logged out, completely exhausted, planning to really spend today checking it out.
Between work and other concerns, this was my one day to check out Morrowind and see if it justifies the cost and the changes to ESO+. My experiences today in Vvardenfell were going to be a major factor in my decision on where I stand with this game. Today was, quite simply, the day I decide whether to buy the Chapter and continue subbing or not.
The idea that they would give us a date for taking Morrowind access away and then do it a day early, taking from me the day I really make up my mind on where I stand on this game? If a fiction writer wrote this, the audience reject the allegory as too obvious.

You raise a good point. However, ZOS has given me ample reason to feel I need to experience the game for myself before I decide where I stand. They gave me an opportunity to do so. And they gave me a cut-off date.
And, honestly, anyone who thinks that one of the purposes of a Beta test isn't promotional is fooling themselves.
I put real time and energy into getting my computer able to install the Morrowind PTS for this one last day. That is time that feels wasted now.
At this point, I'm going to say that this maintenance makes the decision on early access for me. ZOS's decisions lately have just been too dubious and ill-considered for me to extend trust. ✭This thread was a day early and a few dollars short. That said, just read about a server worm infects servers and thier clients with ransomware this weekend. They announced in advance that the PTS server would go down Sunday for maintenance. After it was taken down the message on this forum started it was for the 3.0.4 patch. It was not clear if they were doing it a day early or if it would take 2 days. At this point it is clear that the maintenance will last into Monday.
I don't think there is any ransomware issue here.0 -
