Overload and 3.0.4 Light Attack Changes

With the upcoming changes making light attacks more powerful, will overload be useful again? Or does 'we buffed light attacks' not actually mean all light attacks?
(and no "nerf sorcs!" BS here, keep it somewhere else. This thread is about how the changes will effect one ability that is not currently preforming as well as others.)

Overload fell out of favor in PvP due to reflects and in pve due to it being a dps loss. The changes in light and heavy attacks won't change this.

IIRC light attacks are "equal" to your weapon/spell damage (not counting % bonuses), Heavy attacks have aditional modifer, bow is x3 as example. So i a really curious abut changes to that. Also hoping to DO NOT recieve hit from regen-o-sorc for 30k with overload in upcoming patch. Keep in mnd that

My good man Boink is hitting people for 27-30k overload light attacks on live. I'm assuming it's a buff.

Overload already reflected this idea. Hard hitting light attacks with bonus heavy attack stuff (in overloads case the AoE). It's probably gonna stay the same.

Ill just use it with elegant set in maelstrom and burn through bosses so hopefully it stays and applies to overload.

That's false. Light and heavy attacks scale with both spell/weapon damage and magicka/stamina. They just don't scale off stamina as well as they scale off weapon damage (40 stam = 1 weap dmg for weapon attacks, 10.5 stam = 1 weap dmg for abilities). So no light attacks aren't "equal" to your weapon or spell damage stat.

You don't burn the bosses as fast with Overload, as you burn them with a Lightning Destro ult. Not even close.

You don't burn the bosses as fast with Overload, as you burn them with a Lightning Destro ult. Not even close.

If you drop destro ult on moving bosses then I'm not too sure about your comments.

Also if you don't overload down to destroy ult then you're also wasting 250 ultimate points and an easy quick burn.

forgetting the fact that this set needs updating to change Weapon Crit to Spell Crit and be Light instead of Medium (it has issues I know), how about trying Undaunted Infiltrator (perhaps even combined with Elegant/Kena) on an Overload Sorc?
