You know small heal of BoL is 360 degree and for this reason it is buff of BoL. Now you can decide either grant your teammate big heal while being healed by smaller yourself, or, when being seriously injured - heal yourself with bigger heal while granting teammates smaller heal. You can control your heals now and it one of the best changes.

I've been trying to tell people its a buff, you should see all the messages I got insulting me.

This is only a nerf if you're a mindless BoL spam-bot

People should not be insulting you. But BoL is most certainly has not been buffed as the number of heals, the amount it does heal, and it's cost have not been changed in any way to benefit the caster.

The aiming restriction is mixed. Sometimes it is beneficial in that you can exclude potentially undesirable targets. Sometimes the templar will want to face a certain direction (example retreating) when such an action would exclude desirable targets.
Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

I have seen this said nowheres else, can we get a confirmation on this? Regardless though, it is strictly a nerf though.

You're one of the foremost experts on magplar pvp, imo. So I say this with all due respect: The ability to control your healing better, allowing focused skillful play, based on careful positioning to outperform the current version of the skill in game isn't a buff to you? Are you nuts?

This is a direct nerf to BoL bots. However, in BGs and small scale, being able to choose who you heal with a simple flick of a mouse is very strong. I think it will take time for top tier magplars to adjust, but I think once that happens you'll actually see survivability go up, relative to the loss of major mending and no BoL changes.

Again, for the first time ever, you have an opportunity to use positioning and LoS to select targets for your healing. This is a huge game changer and imo a pretty solid buff to small scale magplar. To be fair, I'm biased because I always hated the random nature of BoL heals.

Edit: Its worth noting that this buff is going to be much more noticeable on PC than console because of the tracking issues the camera has

This is actually the only change I've liked from the perspective of a solo PvP Magplar. Inevitably you do wind up around other people fighting and it really sucks when you're critically low on health and you hit Honor the Dead twice and both heals get consumed by random friendlies 10m behind you and then you die before you can do it a third time.

Eclipse is strong now too. 4.2 second uncounterable reflect?

People are sleeping on magplar hard next patch. I think mag sorc will be stronger overall, but magplar is going to be top tier as well and actually counter sorc pretty hard.

Ehh with the change to force pulse much of a MagSorcs damage kit is unreflectable. Eclipse will actually be better against MagBlade's abilities but there will be so few of those in MW running a skill to counter them and mildly annoy Sorcs would be a waste of a slot. With the amount of skills that need be to be slotted for buffing, healing and purging on top of Damage skills any utility CC skill I'd slot would need to be effective against almost any target.

Yeah, eclipse is better against mageblade than msorc for sure. But no mSorc can kill a competent player if they can't hit that frag at least relatively close to when curse goes off. The synergy between magplar and heavy armor and the fact that you can purge curse and the execute makes magplar the ideal counter to sorc.

If the sorc has no CC immunity and you know you're gonna die to that frag, pop eclipse and suddenly he can't kill you. If he's got CC immunity you just purge the curse and the frag+ crushing shock spam isn't gonna secure the kill either.

I think the community as a whole is underestimating how strong magplar is gonna be.
