Hi ESO community,
to get everyone prepared for the upcoming changes, I thought it's a good idea to start some brainstorming about how to maximize damage with light attacks. As probably quite some of you know, there are some great 2-pieces- and 5-pieces-sets from the pre-OP-light-attack era, that I encourage everyone to wear now.
How about this nice combination for a Magicka-based char?
Queen’s Elegance, 5 pcs: "Increases your Light and Heavy Attack damage by 20%." (jewelry and 2 light armor pcs)
Galerion's Revenge, 5 pcs: "When you deal damage with a Light or Heavy Attack, you put a Mark of Revenge on the enemy for 15 seconds. After stacking 6 Marks of Revenge on an enemy they detonate for 4730 Magic Damage." (5 heavy armor pcs)
There are a few other nice sets, but as we can't use dual wield weapons in this build, this one for example isn't an option - sadly:
Molag Kena, 2 pcs (monster set): "When you deal damage with 2 consecutive Light Attacks you trigger Overkill for 6 seconds, which increases your Weapon and Spell Damage by 516 but also increases the cost of your abilities by 33%."
We are doing quite many light attacks, so your chance for your personal Daedroth might be high enough to make this set worthwhile in some other builds:
Maw of the Infernal, 2 pcs (monster set): "When you deal damage with a Light or Heavy Attack, you have a 10% chance to summon a fire breathing Daedroth for 15 seconds. The Daedra's basic attacks deals 4257 Physical Damage. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds."
Please only use a 'real' skill (in case you've forgotten already, I mean the ones who cost Magicka or Stamina) if your Wrath stack (heavy armor passive) is high enough to ensure it's worth it.
Forget about animation canceling too, we don't need to do it anymore!
Out of resources? No problem. Just do some heavy instead of light attacks from time to time. Place them foresightful into your 'rotation'.
Enjoy! Any advice on how to bring this build to perfection is highly anticipated!
