[*]Sneak attacks no longer grant a bonus to Critical Damage when used against other players. Sneak attacks will continue to guarantee a Critical Strike and stun the target, and will also still grant a bonus to Critical Damage when used against monsters.
Developer Comments: Even though Sneak attacks currently have a lower Critical Damage bonus against players than against monsters, they still allow you to burst another player down in a matter of seconds without granting them enough time to react. Removing the Critical Damage bonus against players grants victims of sneak attacks more counterplay.

      • This morph no longer passively reduces your damage taken by sneak attacks. It continues to passively prevent the stun from sneak attacks.
      • Reduced the cost of this morph by approximately 10%.
      Developer Comments: Due to the reduction of sneak attack damage against other player characters, it is no longer necessary for Radiant Magelight to reduce their damage further. This prevents situations where using a sneak attack would actually do less damage than a normal attack. We've reduced the cost on this morph to make it more attractive relative to Inner Light.

Can you please dig up some information for me Gina? How much of a bonus to critical damage were we being granted to players or monsters while attacking from sneak? Also are there any added mechanics that involve position (facing someones back compared to their front) or weapon type that change this number? Thanks in advance. :)

    The latest patch notes removed stealth damage mitigation from magelight becauce the bonus stealth attack damage bonus was removed.

    In live, magelight gives 50% damage mitigation. Thus, is the stealth attack damage bonus equal to this, so 50% more damage.

    Proposed changes: Camouflage hunter should give the stealth attack bonus... and magelight should still give stealth damage mitigation

    The damage bonus and mitigation should be 25 or 30%. Thus, these bonuses should still remain but at a lower value.

    @drunkenspidey Im trying to get asnwers, not propose new ideas. Yes both stealth damage mitigation and sneak damage bonus were removed... but im trying to figure out the values for the sneak damage and possibly hidden mechanics with sneak.

    What PTS notes are refering to, i believe is sneak attack multiplier.

    When you sneak behind enemy and they are not aware of your presence (aka you are Hidden with closed stealth eye indicator) your attack deals much more damage.

    Sneak Bonus is 3.75 for melee attacks and 1.46 for ranged attacks, verified for Wrecking Blow, 2H Heavy Attack, Bow Heavy Attack, Focused Aim and Hidden Blade.Sneak bonus is applied only to physical damage. Also in PvP the Sneak Bonus is 0.27.

    Sneak damage is related to your base damage in this way Sneak Damage = Base Damage * (Sneak Bonus + Critical Modifier)
