It's called being curious of things outside the normal complaining. The forums is packed with warden this, buff that, nerf that, the game is dead, I quit and so on. We can talk about something else can't we?

There was, literally, a long thread on this subject a few days ago.

There indeed was but it covered many different races, not just this one, plus it was filled with toxic people. Seems like the same will happen here because people can't share opinions wthout being rude.

Forums is a place to discuss and present ideas or questions. To disagree is fine. To think you can control what belongs to the community, is really not productive. If you disagree then you disagree. There is no need to get personal.
Trust me when I say, no one is taking this personally. If you came here hoping for a gleeful endorsement of this idea because it is clearly something that no one has thought of before... you are sadly mistaken. There have been so many threads on this subject, it's not even funny. The debate has gone back and forth for, literally, years. When I say, "the answer is no," I'm not speaking for myself. ZOS has said as much in relation to adding some of the rare races people have asked for.
Also, this thread, like many that have come before it, show a blatant disregard for the setting. If we wanted an MMO where we could play a dwarf or a wolfman, we'd have WOW accounts. A lot of people are here, specifically, for an Elder Scrolls game. That means no (living) dwarves, no hobbits, no gnomes.
Again, people have come in here and cataloged the list of canon races that are, marginally, possible. Even then, the Lilmothiit are seriously questionable, seeing as they're supposed to be extinct by this point.
You're not the first person to come on here and ask for more races. You won't be the last. But, you're not going to get special treatment because you had the idea.

LoL, Furries!!!

You missed all the rude insults and such in that thread as well?

It was a pretty long thread, with long posts (including my own). If there were insults, they must have been attached to posts uninteresting enough for me to skim past.

There were some. Most of them were of the witty variety. "I don't have any more pictures," "we all know you've got several gigabytes of pictures, you just can't post them publicly," or my, Hircine, God of the Manbeasts gag.
There was some snark, and after... what, 10 pages? Patience was running a bit short all around. But, I wouldn't call that thread toxic.

That's ignoring all the lore and whatnot. i'll leave that for others to have a meltdown over.

Okay I definitely missed that one then, that's got me laughing with the context of the 'lol furry' portion of the thread xD

Imperial race was pay gated from the start, so that has always been a ZeniMax move. As per classes getting beat down, I really don't believe it was to sell the Warden. I think they just have a vision of where the game needs to be and it isn't there. With One Tamriel armor set availability and them handing out Champion Points like candy, they let the game spin a little bit out of control in certain scenarios. (This does not mean I am fan buying them or in agreance with the implementation or handling of them. I just don't think the tin foil hat argument holds weight in this case.)
As per adding another race to the game, I don't think adding a race that is intentionally limited or small in the lore is a good idea. This coming from somebody who does overly care about lore, and care more about gameplay. If they add another race, I think it would be better to add something with presence in this game and the lore as a whole. Perhaps the Maomer.
