Race Change is WAY too over priced ...

Well I had the urge to change my chars haircolour so badly I had to play 1000, I really hate how ocd I am about them....

Name change is also way too over priced. 2.5k crowns just to change your name? No way. It should only be 1000k crowns, and make the appearence change 2.5k or 1.5k.

But spending $20 to change some letters? That's just gouging right there. Should only cost $5 worth of crowns at most.

Everything in this game is typically overpriced. Even the things that SEEM more fair than others only seem fair in comparison. It's easy to normalize a 20 dollar mictrotransaction when all of the others are 40 or 50 dollars for instance. So in short, I agree with you, OP.

I have to laugh... people "OMG those race passives are a requirement"... same people, "well that skill only buffs you 8%, so no big deal." I've never seen such a ridiculous mindset... where people cannot see their own folly. I see this point in this game all the time... people will say one set of numbers are nothing, yet another 'lessor so' number is extremely important. It's all in what you CHOOSE to believe. I can complete the same content with my NORD MagSorc as anyone else... sure I might lose a bit of DPS because OMG I don't have that extra 10% Magicka racial passive... but I can certainly complete the same content.

Race metas haven’t changed for some time and the passives are not strong enough to really merit changing all the time or to produce that kind of meta. But if someone happily started this game playing an argonian Stam Sorc, but then later on decide they want to push competitive dps numbers, then they should be able to switch to a red guard. A class change token could definetly encourage meta hopping, but race change is really too expensive.

Very first toon on ESO (which I still play) - a khajiit magsorc.
I get an easy 20k out of him on a 6mil dummy with no trial gear or real effort ... I just don't have the heart to re-roll him to stam or race-change him.

The tokens should be 2000 to 2500. 3500 a tweak high.

Must be nice..I’m new to mmo‘s and my imperial stamblade suffered serious sustain issues unless i got my regen to 2k which then decreased my dps by 4-6k. So i went redguard and am doing a lot better now, still can’t break 20k dps, maybe someday (250 cp) hell i didn’t even know what weaving was till last week ._.

I think the other tokens could use a rework too. For those who want to make a few subtle changes to their characters, 1000 Crowns could be a little much. It is just annoying to make a new character only to delete them in a few minutes as you are testing out their appearance. Might be just me.

Race change is priced correctly and is absolutely inline with what other MMOs charge.

Name change is too much. Should be 1500 max.

Race change only changes race so you'd be still stuck in the class you picked as there is no class change option ... So I'm not sure I'm following your point

Some people are going to do that anyway. Making it expensive is just going to prejudice the game against players with less disposable income. Everything in the Crown Store that affects game mechanics should be 90% the price it is now. They can still overcharge "whales" for cosmetic stuff.
