Hello, I've got a little suggestion that may help with PvE players concerns with the upcoming changes.
Personally I enjoy combat in trials, it's very fun at the moment on live. The changes proposed on PTS want to get us to stop using static rotations and start heavy attacking when that requirement comes up. I can understand ZoS wants us to think a little bit more about our boss encounters and add a little more skill. However what appears to happening is players are removing class defining spammables in favour of heavy attacks. To me, this play style is quite boring as a magicka player, lightning heavy attacks are long and drawn out (The recent ESO Live mentioned this, but reducing their channel/cast time still promotes heavy attack builds).
My suggestion is to gain more resources back on a heavy attack(maybe double than PTS currently, but honestly I have no idea what the right number would be here). Hopefully what this accomplishes is less time needed for heavy attacking in your rotation(but it is still required). With this change players could go back and use their classes spammables that we all know and love, as I think heavy attack builds are going to really homogenize classes as a whole at end game PvE. Those who like heavy attack builds are also not affected by this change either.
PvP Problem:
Now, I suggest keeping what the current restore value is in PTS through Battle Spirit so sustain isn't easymode there, I don't think this is so crazy as shields are halved and damage intake is also halved.
What do you guys think? Is my idea too broken? Personally I don't think ZoS want to change Battle Spirit, but PvE next patch looks grim if you dislike heavy attacking.
If you guys have any ideas related to the heavy attack sustain issue on PTS currently, post them here, maybe if we can get some sort of credible solution as a community, ZoS would be willing to test it in the upcoming PTS patches.
