ESO: Morrowind and Player Community Content Creators

Hi everyone,

Over the past week, you may have seen various press/media sites sharing the first hands-on ESO: Morrowind previews. On Friday, we reached out to a handful of ESO players who have a longstanding history of creating high quality, helpful written and/or video content and guides. (No livestreaming yet.) We invited them to start sharing content based on their time on the ESO: Morrowind public test server including the Warden, the new tutorial quest and a few of the first quests, new items and new homes. They can also cover anything that is consider base-game as well, including gameplay balance.

We look forward to the content that these players contribute! Watch our official social channels – we’ll share them there. If you have questions about whether or not someone is a part of this group, please feel free to ask.

From what's been shown so far it's looking good, also been a nice chance for people to see the Warden is not an I win card.

Hopefully this will further calm some of the P2W fears and rumours.

Thank you for the opportunity! It's exciting finally being able to share my thoughts and some video footage with everyone!

Discussing the story and questing content and quality was how I've spent my video time so far! Video here if anyone is interested As Jess mentioned it only contains a few clips from very early on quests, and isn't even a full playthrough of the quests so should be completely spoiler free

I also shared some screenshots of some cute furniture and such I saw throughout a couple of the towns on my website.

I've made a few already and plan to have a full Morrowind main quest play through come release. .

I was primarily hoping to be able to make a video guide for the collectible achievement before it hits Live, since I have done so in the past with Wrothgar Relic Hunter, A Cutpurse Above and Litany of Blood.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom Would it be possible for UESPWiki to apply for this as a creator of "written content and guides"? We'll obviously be documenting the info that the other content creators publish, but it would be great to get some reassurance on what coverage is and isn't out-of-bounds. It's also possible for us to lock public editing of those pages if leaks are a concern for you guys.

It's really cool to see the Warden in action as well in non-ESO Live vids. The class looks like so much fun!

Good to see you guys did this and are supporting the active ESO content creators instead of paying some WOW streamer that doesn't even care about the game to do it, or some other random YouTuber.

I'm sure it's only content creators who have positive things to say, right? Serious criticism we'll have to wait till Morrowind is actually released. Please surprise me and have some that criticize the "Chapter" as well.

I'm sure they'll have certain things that will be off-limits like main quest walk-through or nonconstructive bashing, but I could see Zeni using this as an opportunity to showcase the new trial, battlegrounds, and other content that will draw players in. They may not be able to give out specific numbers but will be allowed to put assets on the screen.

That and as much as I'd love to see zeni devs run the new trial, I think that they'd be opening themselves up to criticisms in the face of a not very popular balance patch (team composition would be a huge tell for one).

People have been over -why- it's being called OP, whether or not you wanna keep lying about peoples positions is your buisness. But it -is- a lie.

As for this...I wanna believe it's a genuine outreach to the community, but my cynisism tells me the company is fearing the loss of some streamer support, or youtuber support, and wants to re-stock.

You know this one she has been watching and enjoying some of the permitted video footage when this one she is too tired to be travelling herself. Always she is worried though that she will see herself doing something in the background that perhaps she does not wish the guards to know about ...

Would be super cool to be able to talk about Warden and showcase their skills and inner workings to the player base. I regularly upload content for players interested in end game content, as well as explaining essential mechanics in hopes for people to learn and enjoy the game more!

I'd like to be eligible to do some write-ups, although Sunshine Daydream's Guide to Crafting (and other things) may not be as "long-standing" as some of these others (i.e. UESP), I think many feel it has a "high quality" and find it "helpful." Thanks for consideration, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom

The biggest reason is that we don't want the main story and many of the side quests to be spoiled before everyone gets a chance to experience them themselves. While we are allowing content creators and media sites to talk about and share content for some ESO: Morrowind quests and topics, there are restrictions.

I know this is going to sound a little harsh probably, but this is the first thing I've heard for a while from ZOS which makes complete and total sense. Everything else I see seems like a justification for changes people don't want, rather than a reason to change things for the better.
