Are there useless skills?

^This. I kinda wonder are there skills that are not/rarely used at all because their uselessness in end game (anyform of endgame content).
The reason I ask this is because I realize there is absolutely no useless class skills for Warden, and that leads to Warden can use only their class skills for build (even only one tree, and the stacking passives will be brutal).

I wonder has ZOS gave the same Treatment to other classes when they nerf the hell out of them and claim it's for balance

Yes there are what is considered useless skills. Watch some videos about toon building and see what they avoid.

That being said, some one may be able to take what everyone else considers useless and turn it into something amazing. It's subjective to what the toon CAN do, what you WANT it to do and YOUR playstyle is.

Most useless skill in the game? Soul Trap.

Each class has a handful of "useless" skills, or skill morphs. Some of them are useful in very niche builds, but overall you wouldn't see them in most, if any, proper builds.

Warden has a very nice collection of skills. I assume some of them will be nerfed to uselessness before the end of PTS. If not you'll see a handful of nerfs handed out to Warden during the next major content update. You know, because we have to wait until major content updates for "balance" fixes.

At least Soul Trap is a reliable multi-target DoT. Equilibrium can outright get the user killed if they're alone.

Are you talking about class skills specifically, or just any skill in general. While I agree that there are a lot of useless skills out there, class skills are a bit more subjective. Don't get me wrong, class skills like healing ritual or encase are rarely used but I think it depends on the build.

For example, a stamina dps warden probably won't see much use out of the frost line compared to the animal line. Neither skills in each line are, objectively, useless despite seeming so on your build. Non-class lines do have some useless skills though as people have pointed out (like does anyone actually use the resto ult?).

There are some useless or nearly useless skills.. Every class has skills, which are used in 0,1% of all fights.. Whats wrong? They could make every of this skills useful and unique, then we dont have some similar builds for each class... You could test much more and maybe the fun ist higher too B)

Equillibrium isn't even bad. My friend used the crap out of it when I'd be on splar since I always had a high uptime with vigor and never worried about his health. Seems like a l2p problem with avoiding damage amd charge attacks..

There's only 3 things that can kill you in eso. (PvE)
    1. Lag
    2. Charge mechanics, every one of which in this whole stupid game can be interrupted or avoided.
    3. 1 shot mechanics. Which only happen when you do something wrong. 99% of the time these are caused by teamates and you cannot do anythig to prevent them from happening against yourself. (Just against others).

L2P is often a valid statement, and commonly refers to the above list. With that said I feel the need to defend equillibrium. have tank or heal drop you a blood alter if you're clumsy with timing.

Soul trap was useful back after launch, always had to use it to farm souls before PvP events, either the pasive got an buff or the animation canceling make it more likely to kill enemies with weapons.
I assume its light or heavy attack not weapon skill who fills it.

Equilibrium was common for restore resources just after launch.

I have my Orc Battlemage/Stam Sorc using Soul Lock, and I funnel all the "empty" soul gems to him, then disperse them once filled.

As for soul summons; early on I had it on everyone, but when they flooded the game with soul gems it became much less useful. Although...I recall from when I was using it that sometimes you could get a rez from that skill in situations where you could NOT get a soul gem rez from a team-mate. Don't know if that's still the case.

As for soul trap, it's an easy distance DoT that any lowbie can use at first. Not much use later, but that's okay.
