Templar > Major Mending poll > Have your say!

With the proposed future patch changes Templar has been stripped of the major mending buff. Vote below to what you think should be a fair change. There are a number of options to choose form so that we can accurately gauge what the community feels should be the right option.

For those not familiar with the proposed patch notes: Templar major mending buff is proposed to be replaced with minor mending (going from 25% to 8%). Meanwhile the new Warden class gets a reliable way to get major mending.

    Changing Sacred Ground to provide Minor Mending was absolutely a smart change, but I think Major Mending should still be available conditionally/situationally with a cap on uptime of 50% at most.

    Here was my suggestion made during week 1 PTS: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/336681/templars-major-mending-let-me-show-you-where-to-stick-it

    It's now stackable with major Mending yes?

    So I dunno how I feel, less access to major Mending, but if you do (say through a potion?) It's easy to stack 40% healing?

    As a Templar, I really like major mending. I don't need it, though, of course. What I do like though is the idea that Templar can have both major and minor mending at the same time. Hopefully there can be some situations where this is more common (3 seconds after a heavy attack with a restoration staff isn't enough. You can get off 1, maybe 2 heals with that at best with a pretty poor uptime. If you have the luxury or time to get off a heavy attack, you don't need major mending on your next heal).

    pretty much what WhiteMage said. Yes there is a way you can stack it through resto heavy attacking but it's just not practicable. The uptime is horrible and who wants to weave heavy attacks into their rotation, this is meant to be a game you enjoy and not feel like a job lol.

    Add it to Rune Focus if your health is below a certain amount? Or just Rune Focus, Templars should have em..Unless they are fine with just minor mending on Morrowind PTS, no idea.

    Other;

    If the major mending buff is so strong it has required a nerf to almost every condition in the game where it is created (the untouched option being Resto heavy attack);

    Fix the buff instead of nerfing everywhere it is present in the game.

    In the end templars will still be super strong as the only class able to with any ease stack major and minor mending.

    What is it with everyone and Major Mending?

    Seriously, I'm a NB Healer and I've successfully healed every vet Trial (except vMoL) just fine. I don't have a reliable method of getting Major Mending outside of a Resto Staff but since I'm able to clear without it, it's clearly not needed.

    Why not advocate for something else, like Major Brutality/Sorcery?

    Im happy with it.

    Magicka templar healing is so out of control currently.

    Even with it being minor mending nothing is still going to compare to breath of life.

    Make templar great again, I want major mending so all i have to do is spam breath of life and win the game.

    If it aint easy, its not worth my time. Dont listen to these nubs who want a challenging engaging game play experience that requires rotations, skill timing and visual and hand eye coordination. We bitched about it in beta, it was WAY TO HARD MAN, having just visual cues on skill CD's

    I mean they actually wanted us to be challenged. Now that we have gotten the game play to WHERE IT SHOULD BE, they nerf templar major mending?

    give me a break already, Im hear to win not try hard. I just want to press the win button.

    in PvE i dont see and i didnt saw any problems with enough healing power any time... for that i dont need major or minor mending.

    In PvP with the battlespirit and this to high burst damage everybody can do, are you just able to heal yourself to survive. Trying to cast a heavy attack with healingstaff in a situation with much pressure on you is like directly suicid... Every good PvPler allready know, that the healer should die as first target, so you allways get the biggest burstdamage (and trust me, enough guys make solo enough burst damage to kill a Templar). The only protection you have are your heals and staying in your focus.. thats all. Templar dont have a class escape, a good shield or anything else to survive. So this change destroy the class balance a bit more.. Templar was in 1vs1 allready the weakest class with few cc, no escape, no class shield and only your flash heal. Hardened war from healingstaff skill line is nearly good like the templar flash heal..

    I'm playing Templar in Light Armor in PvP. This is very hard to play currently but it is quite fun and still effective. The loss of Major Mending however especially affects people like me who have given up a lot of damage mitigation and healing received for more damage. People playing Stamplar in Medium Armor will have the same Problem. Now i understand that the selfhealing a Templar or Dk who plays in heavy armor is a bit overtuned however i would like to see some increase in healing done if a templar tends to play in light or Medium Armor.
