It's very annoying when you do 10 quests and all of them give you items which you dont want to use. Like, why would i need 4 shields and 6 swords when im playing magica sorc? I understand loot tables and other stuff, but please make the quests rewards give players more options when it comes to getting something useful out of it.

New system should offer selecting 1 out of 7 chests which contain:

1. reward would be related to melee builds (aka swords, shields, etc)
2. reward would be related to ranged builds (stafs, bows, etc)
3. reward would be related to Light Armor parts
4. reward would be related to Medium Armor parts
5. reward would be related to Heavy Armor parts
6. reward would be related to jeverly
7. reward would be related to crafting

I realize that Devs dont want to fully remove RNG, and that's why i dont ask for it, but there's still a room for improvement which may at least reduce RNG to some extent.

I just can't see this working, in requirement terms it would be a nightmare, a real nightmare.

The concept of play how you want means there is alot of volitatity in setups.

What happens if you are a Sorc dual wield bar, or then your staff. Or if you run 5 light 2 heavy, or 5:1:1 setup.

What if you are on your Bow bar, etc etc

It's good how it is now, who uses the stuff out of quest chests now anyway? And if you mean drop sets, you need the other stuff to have stuff to sell. Honestly there is a must bigger picture here.

Sure unintelligent set items are dumb. I.E bow in a Magika set etc

If you want to get 1h weapons to run dual wield, you simply chose a chest nr1 and then you pray to loot 1h weapon instead of shield. New system doesnt stop you from looting certain items, it simply offer you an option to pick something from smaller loot table.

Same with the armor parts. If you want to get heavy armor parts you simply choose box related to heavy armor parts.

Half the reason items/sets are so hard to farm in this game is because it's the only reason a lot of people are still playing, to "finish off" their builds.

If you make it too easy to do this (which your solution absolutely would, no question), then the entire game would die off in about 3 months after all of the current players finish off their sets in a week and then clear the harder content with it.

Is it bad game design to have so much of the replayability tied in RNG farming instead of new content? Absolutely, but there's nothing we as players can do about that, it's in Zenimax's hands.
