Defiler Set animation

Anyone able to speak to how long the animation is for this set bonus? Is it easily dodgeable or blockable?

Reading the patch notes this set is absolutely ludicrous. Imagine it paired with viper and tremorscale for instance, 8-9k poison procs against players plus snare procs and stun procs. This set is going to wreck.

The animation is 1 or 2 seconds. It is very noticeable as the "Hunger" that spawns is very large (larger than a player but smaller than, say, a Lightning Atro). Not sure if it's dodgeable/blockable.

I was testing Defiler on a target skeleton last night. I can record a clip of it tonight if you're interested (assuming that's allowed).

Yeah, they only way it wouldn't be OP is if the damage can be avoided easily. That is why I want to know. But I agree, this with the other sets you mention would be proc set madness.

Not sure if that crosses the line of NDA but either way, I probably won't need to see it. Let's not risk it. 2 secs would be long enough to get out of the way. I know most AoEs are not dodgeable so by 'dodgeable', I just meant 'able to get out of the way'. So maybe this won't be as great as everyone thought initially. Well, at least against half-way competent players.

    Thanks for the response though.

    The set is broken currently.

Procs off of crit heals (instead of crit damage done)
    Double procs
Has no cooldown because of crit heal proc (supposed to be 5 seconds)

Hopefully it's fixed and the set is balanced.

I've noticed that, on a Nightblade, Hemorrhage procs off of critical healing but should also only proc off of critical damage done.

Wonder if this is a bug across the board for all critical procs?

To clear things up, the set is very underwhelming, it's not overpowered at all in its current state.
The Hunger actually needs to be in range, which seems like 3-4 meters, to actually cast the ability. The Hunger will despawn when it either:
    casts the ability
the timer that starts when it spawns runs out
    you go out of combat

If the Hunger fails to get in range and cast, it will be a wasted proc.
The cast time is also fairly slow, if the player or the NPC steps out of range before the cast finishes, no damage is done and it despawns.

I did a bit of testing with the set and it was very tough for the Hunger to actually apply the damage, the NPCs would move ever so slightly during the cast or they would never stop moving and the timer would run out, either resulting in the proc being wasted.

All in all unless you use as the set in tank and spank fights, getting the proc to do damage depends on a lot of variables i.e luck.

Def not OP in its current state.

This is what I hate about the PTS forums. People come in here screaming "this is OP!" without even testing it. This is almost as underwhelming as Siphoning Strikes currently. When I read the description I thought this set would be phenomenal, but after putting it into practice I was shocked how lackluster it was; which I'm thankful for to be quite honest. This would've been cancerous if it was as powerful as I imagined.

Really wish you needed permission to be in here.
