The term there is, "embargoed," not "NDA," and in this case, apparently either someone forgot to put an embargo on Morrowind, or there wasn't one at all.
Yeah often certain places/people will be told "hey you can start preparing stuff/ recording now but can't release until X date". I'm still surprised though that they put X date only 1 week in...
Yeah, which makes me think it was a mistake. Possible the embargo was supposed to be for next month, closer to release.
Or moved up to counter the forum hearsay.1 -

On that note, I really disliked the design of trailer-Naryu. Um are you watching the same video I am? This ain't no angry Joe review. He heaped a lot of praise on morrowind. including these points:- Morrowind is so much better designed in terms of quest flow and exploration than some of the main story zones.
- Questing in Morrowind feels more organic like other TES games.
- Admits the warden class is overpowered but does NOT think it goes far enough to be P2W
- "Morrowind seems to be some of the best content added to ESO since launch" (DIRECT QUOTE)
- "if morrowind is a hint of the chapters to come every year from Zenimax, consider me on board.(DIRECT QUOTE)
That sounds like a glowing review of the CONTENT and STORYLINE.
Where the author of that video gives criticism is that he says the content offered really isn't enough to justify an expansion or "chapter" and that morrowind just feels like a very good DLC. Like wrothgar. - Which, surprise surprise, is something people have been saying since ZOS decided to rip this DLC out of the subscription model and try to sell it separately. If you want that entire story, just look in my signature.
Overall this review gives Morrowind an A for content and a D for marketing, pricepoint and balance (edit)
As for the nerfs: note that he has also only done overland questing with an new character,
few settings overland where you can go out of resources as thing dies fast.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.0 -
Galwylin✭✭✭✭✭My takeaway from the review was negative. Here's why. Morrowind apparently is wonderful and is much better designed that anything before with great flow. That's something to be proud of. The warden is a bit overpowered but that always expected with a new class. The negative is everything they are tying to what sounds like a pretty good achievement. Not only is it pricey and referred to in such a way to cheat players, they are bringing down these massive nerfs right along with it.
If they set out to downplay the excitement over this new DLC if not overshadow it, I think they did a perfect job. I wish they had done this during their video announcing Morrowind. I can't remember her name but I can imagine her asking "So, you're not only taking us to Vvardenfell but stomping sustain completely, right Rich?" "That's right. Morrowind holds a special place in our hearts. Not so much what our champion system has done but instead of admitting mistakes, we're determined to make new ones so all fans of ESO will love Morrowind the way we love Morrowind." *other guy still looks lost*
