I did once because I had 1500 from my sub to pay for half otherwise I would not have done it.
Race change is over priced. 30 Can$ is way too much to pay.
In this case I race changed a level 50 character.
I did want to race change two other characters but one was level 28 the other level 35. Because race change is so expensive, I just deleted the characters and made new ones. Lost opportunity for ZoS to make money.
If they lowered the price I would use the service more often because I am the kind of player that changes his mind often

Haven't yet, but I may in the future. With the upcoming patch it seems racial passives will play a much larger role then they do currently.

3000 crowns is a lot of cash for a race change though. I understand why the price point is so high, but it's a tad ridiculous IMO.

Had a Khajiit with an Argonian name because I swapped at the last second and forgot to change that. Could have just changed the name, but character would have worked better as an Argonian anyway.

Others were my Altmer Vampire and Breton Sorcerer characters evolving in a direction that made more sense with different races, and crowns were on sale anyway.

Race changed my first character and master crafter (nord DK tank) to an Imperial DK tank for the extra stat bonuses. The nord damage reduction racial is nothing compared to the extra stats from imperial.

I'm not interested in min/maxing, so I don't need to have the optimal race for any character. Also, if I'm unhappy with a character, I'll delete that character to create a new one.

Mine was a Bosmer NB I changed to Imperial NB. I just didn't see importance of having another bonus to sneak or sneak damage and took a bonus to stam and health instead. Note this was before the recent patch notes, so the patch wasn't the reason but now It's an added reason. Maybe with the CP nerf that 21% stam regen will be good, but I just pop a potion when my stam is low and that gives me ultimate as well.

Idc about optimal set-ups, just clearing content is enough for me. The whole Leaderboard marathon thing doesn't appeal to me much because honestly, I don't need to measure my e-peen.

Built a Stam DK. Really didn't enjoy playing him, so changed to Mag (far more fun). Changed race from Redguard to Dark Elf. Did something similar on a second account - changed from Orc to High Elf.

I make my characters as -characters- after all, and not because of racial passives. I might be tempted to buy one of those tokens if they add a race I get a nifty character idea for, which hasn't be in the game before...

So, if they ever add maormer, I definitely would change my current nord thunder priest into a maormer stormcaller.

But that's it... I'd never use a racechange to chace the FotM...

Imo, having an optimal race makes things EASIER, it is not always about leaderboards... I dont care about leaderboards whatsoever but I also refuse to gimp myself racial wise because that is just silly to me.
