Reworking ability descriptions to clarify direct damage/damage-over-time

We have CPs that boost direct damage and DoT, and we have item sets that only trigger on direct damage or only trigger on damage over time. Unfortunately, the game itself seems to be somewhat inconsistent with what falls in which category, and even if it were consistent, it's really, really confusing for new and experienced players. Testing whether anything is working as intended (e.g. boosted by the correct CPs, triggering the correct sets) is difficult because it's not clear what is intended.

Can we get all of this just written into ability descriptions? Even just color-coding the damage, e.g. the damage number for direct damage appears in white in ability descriptions, the number for DoTs appears in yellow.
