    - Orbs still restore magicka. We add a new skill from the Undaunted to restore stamina.

    (I am happy non-Templar healers have a skill to restore stamina with Morrowind, but I would prefer Orbs and Shards stay the same.)

    PATCH NOTES PRIMER:

    Don't break new stuff that no one was worried about until these 3.0 patch notes landed.

    Fix stuff that is actually busted and hasn't been addressed despite repeated mention and in some cases assurances they would be addressed.

    Take a critical look at things that might be technically a bug, but have developed into a playstyle and consider adopting it instead of killing it.

    Do not neuter aspects that have been fundamental to classes: DK's tank, Temps heal, NB's strike hard from stealth, and Sorcs use magic to attack from range and AoE. These are baseline understandings from both Elder Scrolls single player games like Oblivion and Skyrim as well as some assumptions from table top RPG's like D&D.

    Don't nerf 10000000 things at once. It makes it look like you cannot actually zero in on specifics regarding problems, and are reacting/panicking to adjust for something (like resource sustain). Instead make smaller changes that do less harm to player investment and faith. Also fewer, smaller changes can help you figure out more specifically what was causing the problem.

    Don't do patches so demoralizing that you undo all goodwill and hype for Morrowind in one fell swoop that you paid your PR/Marketing team to build.

    • Each piece of gear equipped will now drain your Magicka or Stamina by -300/sec per piece of armour/weapon
    • Naked fistfighting will drain your health by -4000/sec
    • Houses now have a weekly rental cost in Crowns, failure to pay each week will result in you getting locked out of your house with all your furniture deleted and your pets fed to Warden bears
    • Each login now requires you to fill out a few surveys with our marketing partners before you can play the game
    • Banks now charge fees on every transaction, payable in Crowns
    • Non-combat pets and mounts now require regular daily feeding, beginning with the first week after you acquired them from the Crown Store. Your first week is free because we are your friends. Petfood will be sold in convenient packs in the Crown Store, beginning with the One Month Supply at 20,000 Crowns. Missing a feeding will result in your pet dying horribly.
    • Dying in PVP or PVE now comes with a Funeral Surcharge, payable in Crowns. While you wait for your resurrection you will see a large popup in the middle of your screen which handily shows you our Crown Store Death Insurance options which lets you safely die all week for a set Crown fee
    • Roaming overland bosses now patrol all maps including Cyrodiil, they cannot be killed and some are invisible, and will randomly spawn by groups of players and kill anyone who doesn't run away fast enough. Speed Pills are now available at the Crown Store

    A single Craftable monster set has been added to each crafting station. The design and stats of these new sets are in line with the sets they are aligned with.

    Monster shoulders now have a display option of one or two shoulders.

    A house bard and argonian maid is now available for purchase in the crown store.

    A general house servant pack is now available for purchase in the crown store and can be assigned to any notable home.

    The banker and merchant now have full functionality (repairs, guild store) while using them in a player home.

    A full service writ board has been added to the crown store or can be purchased with writ vouchers.

    Argonians, orcs, and Kajit can now be converted into a pet token and redeemed by your humanoid character. They can then be used as a pet in your skill tree.

    Crafted Two handed weapons now count for two set pieces of the set they were crafted in.

    Craglorn can now be entered in vet mode.

    Potions can be deconstructed (distilled)

    Reginal buff added to potions crafted in attuned or specialized crafting stations.

    Your abilities now cost 50% less... if your max stat is under 10k. If it's over then they cost 50% more.

    Nightblades now have the "ZOS wish they never made you" passive which means you automatically die after the 4th second of combat if you haven't been killed by then already.

    Attempting to fix a bug where you select Templar on character creation but it makes a Warden instead and charges you for the expansion. No ETA.

    Next week marks the release of the new crown Dro Martha sea guar mount. Some say it doesn't make any sense lore wise but we added a little made up text to fix that. If you look closely, it might look like every other guar but it's colour is black and blue so we are charging a discounted price of 5k crowns!! Hurry because it's only limited in store for 48 hours but we will have it as a legendary crown crate reward in future most probably.

    * Spear Shards: This abilitiy and it's morphs have all been renamed Salt Pillar.

    * Salt Pillar: Stomp your feet and thrash your arms, pissing and moaning for the attention you know you deserve. Salty tears stream from your plush man-baby face, and fall to the earth accumulating in pillars of salt that apply the Salty status effect to all group members within 8m. The synergy from this ability will cause your allies to seeth with infantile rage and generate nearly incomprehensible Twitter storms to dumbfound all enemies within 25m. This synergy shares a cooldown with your childhood.

    -attribute changes:
    Max stamina/magicka (and in some cases, health) no longer have any impact on ability damage, strength, or healing. Instead, these values are now based on weapon damage or spell power only.
    Developer comment:
    Hybrid builds have not been effective in non tanking roles due to resource damage scaling. This change will encourage more diversity in builds.

    -racial passives:
    All racial passives have been reworked. All passives that increased the effectiveness of either stamina/magicka or spells/weapon attacks now provide bonuses to both. Additionally, each race now has an active racial ability that can be slotted to the ability bar and used in combat.
    Developer comment:
    We wanted there to be a less clear cut racial choice for specific types of builds. Previously, some races were too good for certain builds and not good enough for others.

    -weapon skill lines:

    Two handed:
    -uppercut and it's morphs are now instant cast, but have had damage reduced by approximately 20%.
    -cleave and it's morphs no longer have a bleed component, and instead deal all damage up front. This fits with the burat damage theme of the two handed skill line.
    -carve no longer grants heroism on hit. Instead, it gives a 5% damage increase to the next carve used within 5 seconds for each target hit, up to 50% with 10 targets.

    -critical charge has been removed and replaced with counter attack.
    Developer comment:
    In an attempt to more clearly specialize and define each weapon line, only the shield skill line now has a gap closer.
    -counter attack: this ability deals moderate damage, applies minor fracture and minor breach, and deals 20% additional damage if the target has hit you with a melee attack recently.
    -morph 1. Riposte: deals an additional 180% damage when used immediately after blocking an attack.
    -morph 2. Retaliate: hits all targets in a 7 Meter, 360 degree radius, dealing 20% additional damage if you have taken damage recently.

    -polearms have been added as a two handed weapon subclass, along with all new animations.
    -the heavy weapons passive now increases critical chance when a polearm is equipped, filling the gap between dual wield's twin blade and blunt bonus provided by daggers.

    One handed and shield:
    -low slash has been renamed to spinning slash and given a new animation. This ability and it's morphs now hit all targets within a 360 degree arc 5 meters around you, applying minor maim to all targets hit. This brings the ability on par with frost staff tanking, which can apply minor maim via the wall of elements chill effect.
    -the deep slash morph of low slash now increases the range to 7 meters and increases damage significantly.
    -the power bash ability has had its cost significantly reduced and it's damage increased.
    Developer comment:
    While the shield skill line is primarily intended for defense and tanking, we felt that it was too far behind the other weapon styles in damage. These changes should make the skill line much more reliable when soloing and in pvp.

    Bow:
    -this skill line has been renamed to marksman.
    -crossbows have been added as a subclass weapon to this skill line.
    -while wielding a bow, all marksman abilities deal poison damage and are instant cast. Snipe and it's morphs have their damage reduced when using a bow.
    -while wielding a crossbow, all marksman abilities deal physical damage and have a short cast time, along with increased damage to compensate.
    -the accuracy passive now increases critical rating with a bow equipped, and critical damage with a crossbow equipped.
    -the long shot passive has been renamed to marksmanship. In addition to increasing damage at long range, this passive now also grants minor expedition while a bow is equipped, and grants physical penetration when a crossbow is equipped.

    You start the game max cp and bis gear can be picked during character creation. The crown store offers everything in the game for a cheap price. We added auto play where your character fights by himself so you can go watch a movie with someone.

    Character Changes:
    • Argonian:
      • 250% increase to swim speed in shallow rivers and lakes.
      • 100% resistance to poison. This effect can only occur once per month.
      • Maximum damage applied only when the sun is out.
      • Food and drink bonuses are applied only at night.
      • Speed reduced by 50%. All enchantments, potions, and passives increasing movement speed are negated.
    • Khajiit:
      • Maximum damage is applied for 6 hours per day.
      • Health, stamina, and magicka are regenerated only when not moving.
      • When swimming, water damage is applied at the rate of 1% per second.
      • Movement speed is increased 300% and is applied for 6 hours per day.
    • Elves:
      • Maximum damage is applied only when in trees. 50% reduction while on the ground.
      • Females wearing armor with less than 40% coverage will receive 200% increase in damage taken. This applies to costumes.
      • Movement speed is increased 300%.
    • Redguards, Bretons, Imperials, and Nords:
      • Movement speed is directly affected by size. Percentage scales based on height and girth.
      • Racial passives are negated if playing classes not represented by the race. For example, a Redguard sorcerer.
      • Nords only: food buffs are applied negatively. For example, a recipe increasing stamina by 1200 for 30 minutes would instead reduce stamina by 1200 for 30 minutes.
      • Gold has 1/10th of its in game value.
    Game Balancing:
    • Nightblade:
      • All skills can now be morphed into stamina or magicka. Stamina morphs maximum damage now scales from health.
      • Critical damage to other players is restored while in stealth. When entering stealth, an outline of the character's location will be drawn.
      • Siphoning restores 2500 health each hit, but only if the enemy is dead.
      • When applying a direct hit within sight of NPCs, a bounty of 23 gold is applied for each enemy affected.
    • Templar:
      • Templars will receive a new house in each area of the game. 10 new furniture pieces will be delivered by hireling every day, ranging in quality. It's not like you'll have anything else to do.
    • DragonKnights:
      • Movement speed is reduced 20% for each piece of heavy armor and weapon equipped.
      • Two-handed weapons now do 300% more damage, but causes disorientation on each use.
      • When stunned, player will sink in the ground, remaining immobile until the fight is over.
    • Sorcerer:
      • When equipped with 7 pieces of light armor, magicka costs are reduced 200%.
      • When eating, drinking, or consuming a potion, physical and spell resistance increases 25k. This can only happen once per second.
      • Negate Magic has been replaced with Meteor, and is now a toggle ability. Initial hit deals 25k damage, and 5k damage after impact per second for 30 seconds. If recast within 30 seconds of use, gain physical and spell resistance of 25k which lasts the duration of the spell.
      • Food, drink, and potions are now 500% more effective and cooldowns are removed.
      • Teleportation costs are negated.

    - Do to all the chat spam in Tamriel, we have decided to implement an across the board breath tax. This will be deducted from each player's bank or character(s) at a rate of 200,000 gold per hour. Players that lack sufficient funds will see a decrease in any crown balance by 1,000 per hour. Lacking either gold or crowns will result in immediate disconnection until sufficient crowns are added to your account balance. This should result in less talk and more play. Thank you for your support and understanding.

    Anyone wanna create a comical version of what todays patch notes will be? mine are

    We decided mag sorcs were overperforming so we have nerfed the damage of streak in order to align itself with the amount of other class nerfs.

    Many people were complaining about nbs this patch and how they will be non existant and are pretty much a worse version of a sorc, so all nbs upon morrowinds release will be removed from the game and turned into sorcs to compensate

    Many people were complaining that stamina Templars were not seeing much play, so we have decided to not allow Templars to dump points into stamina at all to join the magika Templar meta so they wouldn't feel left out.

    We feel to much racism was involved with argonians so argonians are no longer a playable race so that the players who chose the wrong race are no longer harassed. All current argonians players have been turned into superior dunmer... you are welcome.
