Bastion CP

Can you please give the Bastion CP % the same treatment as Mighty and the others where the % goes 15 now. This would help balance out mag with how much harness is returning now with the very high magicka pools. Shields are still very overly powered in regards to penetration not affecting it along with them not being able to be crit on. So the reduction in % value is a good adjustment without totally making shield useless. They will just be smaller in the more extreme cases.


This wont affect players who have small shields now or even medium sized ones. This will only affect those who push past that 44k mag pool and run 100 into bastion.

    Players who use damage shields will already have to split their points between Hardy, ele def, resistance, ironclad, and bastion, and with the front loaded cp throwing 10 to 20 points into shattering blows is that much more rewarding now... By dropping shields down an additional 10% it would hit them way to hard on top of the sustain drop. I think pirate Skeleton needs to be addressed more so than 1%, but leave our defense mechanic alone...

    Pirate Skeleton is another discussion but agreed it should not work on shields like it does.

    I dont see how any player throwing under 50 points into bastion now would be affected by this change .. they still have roughly the same % increase in bastion as they do now. Besides ... anyone who has over 40k mag and is one of those blazing shield plars should have 100 into bastion. which is mostly the reason it needs to be reduced.

    You cant crit shields, you cant bump your penetration to penetrate shields. You just do a flat dmg to the shield and if you have massive shields you dont need to worry about the other red cp items.

    That's no different than how it's always been for MagSorc CP allocation and CP just got raised another 30 points. MagSorc's don't invest a lot of CP into Hardy and Elemental Defender because you don't need it with the huge shields you get from 100 points into Bastion and large Magicka pools from especially sets like Necro.

    This CP change is going to help MagSorc's far more than hurt them because it is Stamina users that rely solely on Hardy and Elemental Defender for damage reduction and both of those just got dropped from 25% to 15% on top of Quick Recovery being nerfed and Major Mending being removed both of which again have no effect on MagSorc.

    This CP needs to straight up be removed from the game. Shields are already way too strong due to the fact that you can't crit them and can't debuff them in anyway.

    the main issue with shields is Major Protection, such as the buff Pirate Skeleton gives, should not reduce damage to shields.

    You take Pirate Skeleton away, and you will find shields are not what they once were. Also, with the CP changes more and more folks will be putting points in Shattering Blows(even my Mag Sorc will, why not? its soo good now) and this will trend shield uptime down significantly. This also gives Bastion a solid counter CP.

    Bastion should remain as it is, as long a shattering blows exists. Otherwise it's not balanced at all, shield are already kind of weak (sadly, shield stack is still possible)

    Though I think they should reduce the magicka harness magicka returns.

    Agreed, Harness does return too much Magicka, it wouldn't be a bad idea to tone down that return.

    Well 56 points into bastion will give you 20% boost in your shields.While 43 points will give you 10% boost to hardy and elemental defender.So with the current CP changes you have a big boost for less so I think reducing it to 15% is reasonable.

    They don't have physical/magic resistance.
    They are duration based which was nerfed in the past to less than half.
    They have a halved magnitude in pvp.
    Daedric damage ignores shields.
    Shattering Blows adds multiplicative damage to shields.

    NB cloak time should be halved.
    DKs shouldn't have block cost reduction.
    Templar's shouldn't be able to restore stamina.
    Look more idiotic suggestions to go with it.
