JSYK: To become a vampire / werewolf

A lot of older sites have this information and I just wanted to update that they are still correct. There are even a few more spots where they spawn than are currently listed but the old spots still work.

Someone was complaining that the guides are years old (some from 2014) so this is to confirm that it still works.

I couldn't see the moon(it was overcast and raining) Edit: it was a mostly full moon when the vamps came out April 16, 2017 4:20am EST, but it was NOT a full moon when the werewolves came out April 12, 2017 1:45 am EST.

You only need to be hit by the npcs, you don't have to kill them or die by their hands to become infected.

Please add any information so that people who want to get infected the "original" way can have some hope.

The moon phase thing is just an urban legend. Vamp/WW NPC spawns do not depend on it in any way. They just cycle on a timer regardless of what moon hangs overhead.

They appear roughly once every 3 real-time days(at in-game midnight), and alternate between vamp and WW. The spawn locations of those two types are the same in most cases, with a few exceptions but even then the spawn points are very close (within sight distance). So if you want to become a vamp, but find a WW spawn instead, remember the spot and check it out later.

I can confirm because i became a vamp yesterday, if you walk in the woods of bankorai at night you will find bloodfiends and at their first attack you get bitten. Dont kill them though so other players can use them.

2 questions.

1) where do they lurk? Spent ages on 2 chars going round the supposed sites shown online in sucession when night over a couple of days and saw NOTHING. Not a sausage. Are the sites the same on ps4?

2) how do you tell the time of day?

The spawn points should be the same on PS4. I found the werewolves in Bangkorai and Reaper's March on the 12th. I will say that the Bankorai locations are very close to roads and those spawns most likely get killed fast. I found that the Reapers March spawns last longer. You can get bitten in the Rift, Bangkorai, and Reapers March regardless of faction, but you have to go back to the corresponding map for your faction to get the quest npc.

They only come out when the game is "night". The actual time in the game doesn't matter. The times I posted where just data because it is "night" in game several times (I think at least 3 times) during a 24hr day.

Damn it’s been a year though. I stopped watching them sorry! When no one else added content I stopped. I only linked this in that other thread because all the other info is from 2014.
