Is the banker worth it?

Yup, I got the banker and he's very useful. It's an investment I would recommend to anyone. I do the writs each morning on multiple characters, and then I call the banker for each one and put in the bank recipes, stuff to decon, motifs, whatever needs to be sold by the one character that goes to the bank. It saves me a lot of time each day, since I don't have to go to the bank with 8 different characters to deposit stuff.

    "Is the banker worth it?"
That depends... If you don't have spare 1 - 5 min to run to the bank then yes...
...On the other hand I would rather spend 5000 crowns on more bank space (if it was an option xD ) rather to a bank shortcut... :D

Weiling Prison levelling to 50 is a pain without him and merchant I think.

Merchant and banker are both not worth it

One point it's easy to forget -- finding a merchant in the world is a lot easier than finding a banker. Having a banker saves a lot of trips ... and I say this as somebody who only got one yesterday. :)

I guess it depends on your usage / playstyle.

For me the merchant is quite useless since it's always quite quick to find a regular merchant NPC in the game (after a while, you know where they are)
The banker is more debatable, but if I have to go to town anyway because of guild store, then banker is useless for me.
And in group instances where it really matters, someone else in the group will have one.
And in Cyrodiil where it really really matters because travelling can be difficult, dangerous or time-consuming... you cannot use them.
And also I dislike the fact that they all look the same and we cannot customize them. I'm not a "special-snowflake-look-at-me" type of player, and I don't customize every detail of my character, but everyone carrying the very same NPC-clone doesn't feel right.

I'll happily buy this kind of stuff for my primary residence when it REALLY will dispense me to go to town. That means full-featured, and a repeatable quest board. As long as I still have to go to town for some reason, they're useless to me.

if he gave acess to guild store, he would have been invaluable. as it is - I do find him fairly useful, but roughly equivalent with a merchant. I just wish people would put away theirs once they are done using them. accidentally clicking on someone's npc can get kinda annoying in a heat of a battle

It really depends on how many alts you have and your personal inventory space. If you have a lot of alts where you are constantly transferring gear and other items, then yes, the personal banker is a must have. If you only have one or two characters, then you can get by without the personal banker and just use the one in town. And I agree, ZOS could have made the banker a LOT more useful if they would have added the guild bank/guild store access.

I LOVE having a banker. If I forget something and I've already ported from a bank, or I need to bank something on the spot, or pull gold out, etc, it's just too good to not have. Really, it's worth the money imo

SMH it's definately not "basically free"
Ppl kill me with these mindsets that if I subscribe the crowns they get from the subscription are free cause of whatever other ideas they've inserted.

The cost is in crowns therefore the actual cost is exactly what you paid in real money for those crowns....absolutely not free.

People consider the crafting bag already 15$ a month, but then you get the dlcs, xp, and research timer as well as the crowns so yes basically free to some

Since the banker only gives access to your bank and not guild bank + guild store, nope.

In my opinion, absolutely. It makes sharing gear between my 10 characters so much more convenient.
