Little Background:
Me and a few friends formed a little guild and we got a little over members enough to have the bank. I like helping people out so most mats in there are for our members to do writs everyday. And all of us contribute :) Gold is in there too. Generally its for restocking some material were short of (usually ancestor silk or rubedite ingots.) But currently I promised our newest member I would help her save for a better house. So usually compete all writs on the characters of mine that are max level. (Even if the crafting is level 1 still gives 600 coins for each craft, so like 3,600 a day for all 6).

Main Story:
Anyway one day recently I dropped 3,000 coins in the bank and it vanished from my inventory but did not get added to my guild bank. I checked personal bank and other guild's bank, but yeah just disappeared. It also was not in the log. My friend and guildmaster told me it might've happened because I was depositing items and money too fast. Anyhow I had screenshots with my inventory coin amount and bank coin amount in the same picture (worried my Tempering alloys might vanish). Then afterword pic of the same screen inventory/guildbank list with the vanishing money(ie 3000 less than supposed to be). So I submitted 2 tickets under Missing Crowns and Missing Items. There was no option for the currency Gold. So I picked 2 things closely related.

I was so happy the returned the coin and I got 3,500 back because the system said it was that much that got lost. Weird error.

Related:
Another time I had to contact ESO Customer support and they were super helpful then too. It was when only one of my characters kept failing to log in with some strange error code. They walked me through removing all my addons and moved my characters position to the beginner zone. And got it all fixed for me to continue playing on that character.

Moral:
Anyways the moral of this story is the customer support for Elder Scrolls Online was sooo helpful and really positive and cheerful it makes me love this game even more! If you ever run into some strange bug or anomaly that isn't right never fear to ask for this games great support!

Very nice, glad you had your issue sorted out and that the support was being helpful :)

I once sent them a ticket about restoring my long-ago-deleted character (being deleted for more than 6 months) - I didn't know by that time whether restoring characters is common practice or not for the support team. But when they got him back to life (damn, my maxed out crafter and almost maxed out vet rank) - I was so happy, seeing him back on the loading screen, stripped of all his possessions and butt-naked.. ;)

I couldnt disagree more. My contact with CS has been poor to the stage where I'm sick of submitting tickets & see no point in trying to get anywhere with them again.

I try to keep myself out of situations where I would need customer support to avoid all of the nightmare situations you hear about. I have only had to contact ESO support one time and that was to get my forum account (never got the initial email invite). The response was quick, helpful, and got me a forum account within a short order.

Although there was this one time I had created 3 new characters with a joke name. One random player told me that someone might take the joke as an offence and report me so I turned myself in to ZOS and said I might need 3 name changes.

I got them all for free and becouse I had contacted them before any reports had been sent they said there will be no consecuences

I couldnt disagree more. My contact with CS has been poor to the stage where I'm sick of submitting tickets & see no point in trying to get anywhere with them again.

You have to describe everything about whatever your situation was clearly and as much proof as you can! Lucky for me I had the screen shots but they had other logs anyways they verified with. So be patient with them, they are busy too! And give as much details as you can! Time frames, screenshots it all helps them help you!

I've sent in 2 tickets in the past 3 years and both times my issues were resolved fairly quickly. Once you get past the initial canned response, the CS is very helpful.

In my case I gave pretty much every detail I could think about, from the character it was on, time it was deposited, what my character was wearing, what I had for dinner that night

but after 2-3 weeks of continuous automatic responses I gave up

Are you using a different email then the one you signed up with? In game to find the support menu I just type /stuck that gets me to the menu where i can submit a ticket for what I need(or travel me somewhere if I'm in the floor). Sometimes it takes a bit but your account email will be responded too!

I did that a lot of times over multiple weeks and never got a human response. Like I said it was over a year ago so maybe they changed something or invested more in their CS.

They do! I left it before and this time I did have the same question actually as to when it would be. Here is the answer:

"As for wanting to know when a survey may be sent out, after our conversation is over here and this ticket has been closed out. Our system will then send out to your email a survey for possible completion!~ ^_^" - Sarah ESO Customer Support in response and reply to my last few questions.

(Sorry, if this breaks terms or anything showing ticket discussions on a public forum but it perfectly answers WhitePawPrints question.)

I had a similar issue where I lost 200k gold after depositing it as a donation to a trading guild.
After contacting support I got an automated response straight away which said for additional info I would need to provide.
I had already provided the info in the first mail but added it again for clarity.

A few hours later the gold had been deposited onto one of my alt characters and I had an awesome response in my ticket.

Woah 3+ years! That's awesome! My main tested the beta(really just crashed on startup with my junk pc at the time). But I actually bought the game the month before they were dropping mandatory subscription to play. I think when the name changed to Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited(not sure though fully). So almost 2 years here I think(But not too sure on that too). I bought it for me and my bro that month before so we'd get the game a little earlier and a few bonus crowns! :) He bought any race any alliance Oops thinks its called Adventurer's Pack with his free crowns. Because when they gave the free crowns a took a bit for the last of it to get distributed. I was a bit inactive busy with school at the time so when I went back on I already received both shipments of crowns so I got the Imperial Upgrade. Wasn't until recently I finally got the Adventurer's Pack too. haha But yeah this game is sooooo great! Glad to see long time players still really active, @Neighbor!
