We need a transmog system !

We all have seen this topic getting posted on the forums countless times, but we need to remind the devs every now and then that we need such system, that being said...

I'd love nothing more than the ability to change the look of my current armour to look like another armour set. There are many ways they could implement this, so I won't bother going into that for now. It'd also be great if we could change the look of our armour to look like pick up sets too. For example: I really like the look of the Ebon set visually, but wearing 7 pieces of the set just isn't feasible.

Another example (for me personally): I really like the look of the celestial motif (the light armour one), but my magic sorc is currenty wearing julianos that I crafted a long time ago (in I think the ancient elf motif), but it's already all gold with gold glyphs. I don't want to change my set, but the look is pretty stale now. I'd pay anything (other than crowns) to be able to change my set to look like the Celestial, and to be able to change the look of my horrible monster set with its huge, ugly shoulder piece... The Celestial hat looks great, but I have to have an ugly monster set that doesn't match anything, because of my build. I want to enjoy the way my character looks AND have a good build. Is this likely to ever happen?

No. We need a restyle system to change any regular drop gear to a style we know. Monster sets will be exempt. It would not make sense you are getting something form the monster then it is no longer from the monster.+

The term transmog is so WoW.

Why do monster sets need to stay immutable? Not only has the game never been "recognize gear on sight" for pvp so who cares? 90% of people are in costume because of how ugly monster sets are.

That statement is so interesting. Back it up if you are going to be so flagrant with your statements.

Hmm. I don't agree with not be able to change the style of monster sets. You should be able to change any piece to any known Motif style you want. This incl weapons too.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. Mine is merely what I expect will occur if and when Zos decides to add restyling.

ATM they have no plans to add the feature as they have stated as much recently. Glad you did not go so far as to try to say 90% of players wear costumes because of monster helms appearance.

@WalksonGraves Not really. Conjecture are empty words and do nothing to support your fancy number. It is weak when someone spouts numbers that are baseless. 90% is most certainly baseless.

Edit: I see you have added a pointless image.+

Further edit: now to let this thread fade away (not because I disagree with OP) due to how many voice their strong opinion about how they wear costumes for the sole purpose of hiding monster helms.

You mean the pointless crafted armor that had one viable set that got nerfed?

Well, since we are here again, I will once again direct the dev's attention to Fallen Earth  The best Transmog system that I have yet seen in a game.. The only thing it "needs" is the possibility to hide left/right shoulder and glove separately

So turns out I was wrong, it's more like 97%.

@WalksonGraves turns out polls in the forums are entertainment value only being they do not even begin to get the viewpoint of the gaming population. Try a statistics class and it will become clear.

Additionally, the choices of answers are clearly intended to deliver biased results in complete favor of your baseless and unsupportable statement.

I actually see a good mixture between armour/costumes. It's all a matter of opinion. Some things the monster sets are ugly asf, and yes some are imo, but some of them I love.

    No, it doesn't.

You could easily incorporate transmog into the crafting system, in fact that's probably exactly how it would be incorporated.

As an aside, I either turn helmets off or wear the cobblepot, because I do hate the way Monster Helms look.

I actually wear a costume to hide my monster set (infernal guardian/illambris) :/ . Their look and color just doesn't look nice with my armor and my vMoL skin. Red/yellow from infernal with blue and black is a hideous color combo.
