Why is a Maximum Daily Quest Limit Needed?

I was rather surprised to hit this today. Is there a reason that this is in place? It is pretty easy to hit if you do even just some of the town quests in Cyrodiil.

And for those wondering, yes, I got plenty of sunshine and vitamin D earlier. :P

I don't think it's actually possible to do every daily on all 12 toons in one day. There aren't enough hours in the day for it. Mathematically maybe, but doing that multiple days in a row will destroy a person mentally.

I have 1 character. No idea if the limit is in total or per character.

There is no real limit other than doing every daily once per toon per day. Even doing every single daily on one toon would be taxing for most people. Every cyrodiil city quest, all pledges, all crafting writs, every craglorn daily, undaunted, mages guild, fighters guild, orsinium bosses (all versions for each if shared) and more that I'm sure I'm missing.

There is a limit though. The game is blocking me from picking up more dailies. I did not do all of them today.

There does seem to be a 50 quest limit for daily quests

If the limit is 50 dailies, I'd say that's plenty enough. If you need to do more than 50, it's probably time to consider another toon.

The limit is 50 and the repeatable dailies in Cyrodiil towns is 48. Valastarus and Cropsford only have 9 repeatable quests and they both each have one non repeatable. But doing Writs and pledges and then Cyrodiil quests and you can't do all of them. I used to have a daily rotation of dailies that were 25 and I could do them all in 2hs. Add 25 cyrodiil quests on that and in about 3hs and I would be at the limit. I hate that, I have alts but I also like playing on my main far more than on other toons. I think they should rework the Alliance war Repeatables and make them dailies and then remove the cap.

The Cyrodiil quests really are efficient. Very boring way to play the game, just rushing through quests I've already done multiple times, but the anniversary gives just pour in.

Game developers like to make the game more annoying by introducing unneeded "friction".

One aspect is the quest limit, which makes you drop quests and then travel to pick them up again. Another "benefit" of the quest limit is that it keeps you from picking up quests people push at you, so your screen remains littered with quest arrows, increasing your general confusion.

For some reason, ZoS and other game developers like thing to be messed up like that.

The quest limit only really crops up for me during the mayhem and also the anniversary event when we can do the cyro town quests. They are all pretty quick and easy provided you have rapids and max mount speed so it's really easy to knock them out and hit the limit. It only really annoys me cause it's a per character limit and I can swap to my alt and do more so whats really the point. Like why does it matter if i do 100 on one char or 50 each on two. In fact it's way more easy to do on multiple chars since you can repeat them which just makes a per character limit even more baffling.

I have hit the limit may times on my characters and its annoying as hell.

A lot of the quests that just stay in my journal are the prologue quests that have you jump around all of the maps to complete but I don't just jump to places to do quests, I don't like jumping to a zone until I have completed the story quests to get there so these prologue quests just sit in my journal half-finished for years.

Then I am jumping in and out of Cryodil and my daily crafting writs and it's comically easy to hit the limit.
