How do your last PUG VetTrial go?

Somehow it took very long so I wanted to make it more fun experience. So I thought that people want to take a look of my new jubilee cake. And to make clear that everyone could see it I left it infront of every single door. I got so many messages that people must have liked what they saw.

I think we may have differing opinions of what a pug is. My last pug was vMoL and we cleared it fine though not totally smooth.

Because you're a solo pvp player and just want that VO to be able to do vmol for the skin all while the patch drops where magic is now dominating, 1st world problems.

Rocked it but I haven't done the seriously challenging ones such as VMoL or WGT with a pug group yet. Might change my tune then.

I have never pugged a veteran trial before and it just seems like an overall bad idea to me. I prefer 12man group play where I know what I'm dealing with. I have had pug normal trials in the past (and also back before trials had norm / vet modes and were easier) and those were quite enough to discourage me from ever trying it out on veteran.

Half of this thread is like when people over-exaggerate the difficulty of raid-level content in Destiny, or presume that 12 random people could never in a billion years scrape up enough competence between them to complete what the uber-chosen can do with their leet-squad-of-ultimate-leetness in 15s. Yes, seconds. That's how awesome they are. BOOM! Bosses have melted. Over. Collect the loot. Go back to model girlfriends and their million dollar mansions and smoke $10000 bill cigars.

In reality, vet trials are accomplished when at least 9/12 people know what they are doing and are appropriately geared (support roles are a given as 4 out of the 12). It's easier to carry with a larger group. Heck, our guild has done 6/12 carries to get guildies their skins; and those people, bless them, were clueless and usually dead half the time.Will pugging guarentee a high score? Probably not. But the content isn't really harder than any of the newer vet dungeons for a pug, with an even greater margin for success (not error) given the quantity of people who can pick up the slack.

I pug all the time, like everyday: trials and dungeons. I also run stuff with my guilds. The latter is cetainly faster--in some cases. The former is hardly an act of God when succesful runs happen.

I think it depends on your definition of PUG.

Usually I consider a pug as in you found random people from zone chat.

Other people consider PUGs as random guild mates.

EDIT: Also, different people consider success in different ways. For example, vHRC is generally the lowest dps requirement of all of them, but most groups cannot complete top side, so they cheese it and skip that boss.

I never fully PUG a Veteran Trial. I might pull someone from another guild at a guildies recommendation but never ever PUG a Veteran Trial, would never want to.

I tried pugging vMoL once long before I got to run it with a proper group, knowing little about it. Didn't even make first boss b/c everyone just ran around like chickens w/ their heads cut off doing their own thing. No coordination at all.

I said never again.

Last time I went into a trial with a pug was back in the old v12 craglorn trials. And back then almost all high level players were quite good since cadwells gold was teaching you how to play and how to survive.

On normal there's a guy I met doing randoms who does 3 or 4 on Saturday back to back and maybe 2 moreon alts.

He randomly invited ppl and it goes well until ppl DC
Vet can be 1-2 hours

1 hour and we finished. Normal ones.
Vet one either never end or crashed.

I haven't pugged any vet trials. I do pug normal ones though. Normally it goes OK but the last one (MoL) was the first time I hadn't completed.

The team just didn't work, players would scatter all over and run behind me (I was healer).
There was atleast 2 bow dps light attacking. They may have been doing other stuff but I saw a lot of light attacks fired in a row.
In the end at all fell apart at the twins. The raid leader explained the mechanics but too many people didn't follow.
