Crown Gems Question

So I really want the wizard hat. Now that the storm atronach season is over, it's only available with gems. As someone who never really bought anything from the store, how difficult will it be to get 16 gems? I know they're based off duplicates through crown crates

✭✭✭✭✭You will *almost* be guaranteed 16 gems in 5.3 crates. So, 6 crates. This is because you generally receive 1 collectible along with 3 consumables cards. Each consumable card can be traded in for 1 gem. It's *very* rare you get 2 collectibles and 2 consumable cards, in that scenario though, you're raising your chances of receiving a duplicate - which will pay more gems than just trading in a single consumable card.
