I'm sorry to everyone saying that there is a lack of content//content comes out slowly but I really don't see how you're coming to these conclusions? I can hardly keep up with the content myself and I play a considerable amount. Outside of some breaks and some binges I usually get on for 2-4 hours a day. Earlier in the discussion we were talking about how the constant push for new content is coming at the expense of bug fixes. That felt like productive conversation.

I think a lot of players don't have a sense for the scale of the work that's being done and the toll it takes on the small team behind this game. Either that or maybe I'm just used to the standards set by games I played before this one, which by those standards the pace at which they pump out new content and complete overhauls of the game impressed me. Actually, scratch that, it concerns me for their ability to keep up with this pace and do bug fixes on all of the content already in the game. They're stretched thin.

Anywho I hope I'm wrong and they can keep this up.

its people who have been playing the game since launch will notice this if you casually logged in every so often and just played the single player aspect of the game on and off you it wiull seem large. but if your a launch player that tried to play this as a long term MMO, your gonna see the shallow lake ESO has become.

I've... Been playing ESO since beta? I was there on launch day? I played this MMO like I did WoW (well perhaps less time than I did purely because I don't have that kind of free time anymore). However this is just a matter of what we consider content and it is a matter of opinion on what we consider a lot of content in an MMO. From everything that I've seen and I have played a number of MMOs this seems like a lot of content. Only downside is it started as a pretty shallow lake but rather than just expanding the lake into offshoot ponds (expansions without revisiting the original game), ZOS (with it's overhauls like One Tamriel) went back in and held their breath as they dug that lake deeper.

Again though, it's a matter of opinion. Just don't speak for others next time, as clearly my being a player who has played since launch and not agreeing with you means that you don't speak for all vanilla ESO veterans.

Alright i assumed you were not as your profile states you joined in 2016. But ive played since phase 1 closed beta I am more of an MMO player and far less a RPG player . if i want RPG gameplay ill go play the witcher. certainly its a matter of opinion of course

Oh it took me forever to join the forums haha I see where you got that idea from, sorry. I've always been more of an RPG player than an MMO player even when I played vanilla WoW haha. I was the girl who took her time, read the quests, and enjoyed the story. I suppose I can see where your dissatisfaction stems. From a lens of end game content there is a lack there of? I think this might be because of their horizontal progression as opposed to vertical//linear which leads to a lot of content being discounted, but ultimately it doesn't matter what the content is if people don't want to do it. I've found it fun, but many would disagree with me on whether or not ESO's quests are fun (again I find questing and just randomly exploring as I would in a TES game fun here).

Well considering they are just now releasing stuff we heard about 3 years ago it seems more that they are just delaying a lot and finishing up things they had in the works.

Still don't have Murkmire and the other place they showed in 2013 quake con

They're chopping what I'd hope was a big expansion into 5 or 6 small DLCs

I bet Morrowind won't even be as large as Orsinium in terms of content

With proper planning, a good development team can do wonders. Below is the standard "Agile" development process that most companies use.

Im happy in a lot of ways.

I see myself as a pvper and crafter, and pve from time to time when I want to chill. I pve only for motifs or to get gear to pvp.

Pvp side needs more. However, im happy that they are making different content, regardless if it fills my niche. For example, one tameriel, housing, dueling, and now morrowind.

How will zos survive the long run? To me, its about evolving, being new within its framework of a mmo, and not just role out same play in different context. Housing did that though I personally can care less.

I would like to see player crafted cities in which you fight off invading armies of mobs.

More classes or class lines (bard, hand to hand, necromancy, daedric or god buff with debruff)

Honestly with the rate at which ZOS pushes out new content for ESO I genuinely wonder how long they can keep this up. It feels like they're running a marathon of 100 meter dashes. Honestly I'm very impressed with the amount of content that comes out and no MMO before has left me sitting down and thinking "holy butts, that's a lot of content." Is all content created equal? Not really, but all of this is leagues beyond what used to be considered acceptable content in an MMO. (everyone praises the Burning Crusade but who remembers that tedious senseless hell boar grind quest?)

So for one I would like to thank ZOS and their team for all of their hard work. For their faults, they took what was a poorly launched game and turned it into an MMO that beats even my memories of WoW. I'm happy and proud to play this game and pay my subscription every month. That is me personally though.

How about you guys? How do you feel about ZOS' development cycle for new content? I'm interested in your thoughts!

I agree completely, been playing MMO's since before WoW changed the industry, and ZeniMax does a pretty impressive job now.

They aren't perfect... But what human or group of humans is or ever was? They are putting the rest of the MMO market to shame IMO. If they keep this up they will create the ESO Standard (replacing the Gold standard ;) )

First, love your signature, seriously. Just want to say that much. Second, yeah they definitely have their flaws but I can agree with you on this they have the potential to become the new gold standard.

To me this feels akin to how ESO is being bold and feeling more and more like a TES game as time goes on. I agree, their strength comes form breaking the mold. (also seriously when are we getting Necromancy? I've been waiting sooooo looooong! XD)
