I'm already a subscriber and I generally am any time I play the game.

I am not sure I would sub for bank space because I don't need it (I sit on about 40/240 slots most of the time).
I did resub ASAP when I came back and it had expired because of the craft bag however, that's just too useful not to have (also I didn't want to buy all the DLC as I owned none).

Yeah, ignore the fact that people are willing to pay millions of gold for increased bank space. Ignore the fact that it was requested for a time just as long as duels were. Ignore the fact that you intentionally bloat our banks with countless materials (style materials and unrefined/refined versions of them) that you throw in with an alarming rate.
Just keep shoving ESO+ sub down our throats with all you got.
I'll give you a few new great ideas for sub based features: Fast Loadscreens, FPS Booster, crown exclusive CP trees and Spellcrafting. And capes.

If I started to sub I would probably use all that bank space. If I unsubbed after that I wouldn't be able to transfer anything between my characters using the bank until I got rid of 200+ inventory items.

I'm not walking into that trap.

I like the idea of more bank space for ESO+ members, but honestly.. I haven't even maxed out my 'normal' bank upgrades yet. So it's nice, but not extremely useful (for me at least). I would have loved to see them add something that's a genuine extra, instead of an expansion on already available functionality. Feels a bit like a pay-gate..

I don't see myself needing more than 200 bank slots for a long time. Most of that would be filled with crafting mats anyways and since subs get the crafting bag I don't even think I'd be able to fill a normal 240 slot bank even if I tried.

It is nice for the people who need it, but it is not something I need.

If any one ever had the opinion that Elder Scrolls Online is a pay to enjoy product, and Zenimax are milking people, they wouldn't have to use much evidence beyond the fact that the crafting bag is available to subscribers only. The realization that so many people willingly accept this as the 'norm' speaks volumes about modern MMOs.

I could understand if it was a free to play game with a subscription option, but it isn't - it's a buy to play game, which in order to get services that should be included in that original purchase, costs additional money.

And let's not get started about the paid DLCs...expansions ok, but DLC?

So it's not just about bank space. As one user said, that's icing on the cake - I presume though, nasty aftertaste synthetic sugar substitute taste, when you consider what you actually paid monthly for.

Actually, I was around when this game required a sub to play and got nothing in return except play time. During that time, subbed players didn't get a crafting bag or extra 10% bonuses to exp/inspration/gold. What I am paying for now is exactly what I meant - a bonus.

The monthly crowns ensure that if I were to unsub, I can still enjoy all of the game's content. All around, I see it as a great deal and $15/month is no big deal for hours of entertainment.

    Entirely not relevant.

@Lexynide makes a good point. If this game(and modern ones like it) did not have so many damn items all over the place, and went with an attitude of 'less is more' [isn't that the whole appeal they are going for with only six {twelve} hot bar abilities?] then we wouldn't need hundreds and hundreds of storage space. Furthermore, it's non canonical as far as TES is concerned because of no weight limits. And finally, if they'd just designed the system better altogether, a "craft bag" wouldn't be necessary.

No, they made poor architectural decisions and rather than clean it up for everyone's benefit, they got their corporate bozos and lawyers in to find a way to spin the product's poor market position, into something more profitable at the expense of logic and ethics.
So they put together this ridiculous craft bag which effectively defies physics and logic simultaneously and for all intents and purposes is the greatest (and that doesn't mean good, it means ghastly obvious) feature ever offered in any MMORPG. A storage system that auto loots/sorts/distributes and provides access for an infinite amount of items that can be withdrawn or further manually deposited by any character on the same account at anytime and any location in the game world.

Just the idea is quite mad and if anyone had told people about it before hand, they'd thought it was the most amazing thing since sliced bread as far as MMORPG games are concerned. Well that's what the board of directors thought when Steve and Dennis the two programmers who came up with the idea, sauntered and slinked into the meeting with an air of confidence yet still retaining their usual borderline Asperger's /anti-social mannerisms while giving their pitch. And it was then that some corporate monkey (well they said they were intelligent..) that had that light bulb go off and thought 'hey, let's lock it to the subscription system! We'll be rolling in it then!'

You want proof? Read the thread(s) so far (and more to come). The majority of answers are nothing more than 'I subbed for the crafting bag.'

Zenimax *****d up their own product, and then rejuvenated it in a heinous fashion, and people seem to be totally OK with it.

I will probably not sub again. After Morrowind was announced as a "chapter" and not a DLC (with Eso + you have access to all DLCs). And ZO$ cleverly bypassed that.

I just moved my "spare" gear to my other characters inventory and put all crafting mats in bank (and still with 240 slots I have like 40 empty :o . And those 240 bank + 200 in another character inventory is more than enough).

With new ESO policy on chapters/expansions, I cancelled my permanent sub and now I resub for a month from time to time just to store surplus materials in the crafting bag. I think I will sub 3/4 times a year, and this thing of bank spaces is not going to change my policy.

My reason for having a sub (in a thread about if/why you would sub for additional bank space) is entirely irrelevant, while you write a rambling book about 'why' the devs are implementing additional ESO+ rewards...Got it.

BREAKING NEWS: Poll finds people subscribe to a game to enjoy quality of life changes.

Here is the thing...I agree that the subscription model is a dying breed. I don't 'like' paying a subscription just for game time. However, I feel the way ZOS implemented their sub model is great because the quality of life changes are very nice to have and don't feel like pay2win.

If you don't like it? Great, stay unsubbed, but complaining about perks that the subscribers get is just asinine.

I simply refuse to pay monthly fees to make stuff available.
One guy may only have 1 hour of gaming time a day, while the other spends at least 12 hours online on a regular day.
The second guy will have more time to benefit from these, but the first guy... Not that much.

If they said pay $14,99 for a total of 720 (or 360) gaming hours rather than 1 month, I might consider it one day. But I don't know how much time I will benefit from being a subscriber. Better yet, I would have to force myself to play the game, while I might feel like playing another game or doing something else. All my free time MUST go to the game, and the DLC's in particular, or else I won't get the most out of my money.

They just said a couple of months ago they were not adding storage to housing because their data showed the vast majority of players haven't maxed out their bank/bag slots yet and don't need it.

Assuming that's true, it would seem one of two things is the case here:
    1. This is just a bone to throw at people who are subscribing anyway to soothe them for making them pay extra for Morrowind.
    2. Or if it is in fact intended to "attract" new subscribers there will be a ton of new items in Morrowind to bring a whole new level of inventory misery, "incentivizing" people to subscribe.

The first is more likely, but the second is possible too considering the trajectory of recent decisions from the monetization crew.

I'm never going to sub whatever gets added to it, I bought this game specifically because I didn't have to sub. I'm happy to support the game by buying dlc's and the odd thing in the crown store.

I can manage my inventory using my personal guild bank and mule alts but it's a ball ache.

I'm not there yet but I'm getting closer to the point where I just walk away from the game because of the decisions that are being taken to try and force people into subbing to get the most enjoyment out of the game.

I sub occasionally, usually to test out the new dlc they release to see if I want to buy it. The craft bag, 10%s, etc. are more of a bonus that comes with buying 1500 crowns. The craft bag lets me harvest indiscriminately, which is a convenience, but not essential. If I consider another sub, it will be for crowns and that craft bag.

To me, spending an hour in game doing inventory reorganization and logging in/out of mules is worth keeping $15 in my pocket.

I'm lucky enough to have a personal guild bank I share with one guy who barely plays. Without the guild bank to house all my mats, I would have to remove/sell things I've been saving. If that stuff I'm saving somehow becomes BiS next patch, either its in the bank, or I go out and farm it like everyone else. The chances of my mothballed gear becoming BiS usually aren't worth the space investment.

Honesty I sub primarily from a desire to continually support this game. Not to mention they give you the sub's worth in crowns each month so it's like you're paying to have all DLC freely available while getting my money's worth on the crown store. It's a win win for me.

THAT SAID if I would ever be to cancel my sub in protest of the ESO plus benefits going too far, this is pretty close to being that breaking point for me.
