Can someone tell me what is wrong with the speed of the game now? I played few minutes ago and it was unplayable, response time of key pressing was like 1 - 2 seconds....WTH???

I know it is kind of prime time, but I never experienced such a lag.

It was in Grahtwood, PC EU.

Grahtwood is lag central honestly. At least on Xbox NA it is.

The only thing I have noticed wrong is my sucking an vMSA again. RIP the weekend luck.

In seriousness though I haven't noticed any issues.

I've not been in Grahtwood today, but I have been in a number of other crowded zones on PC EU server including Daggerfall by the event chef (and generally in Glenumbra) as well as in Craglorn and Vulkhel's Guard which are always busy, and while there were plenty of people about in all the places I was in I didn't get any lag or other performance issues. My usual rider relating to performance: I don't use add-ons, do PvP or competitive PvE/group dungeons etc.

For me latency is much better now than it was during Jester's Festival.

The ping and lag has been horrible for me for quite some time. On PC EU today I had to drop out of a trial because it was stupid unplayable. On PC NA, I am getting similar (but not quite as bad) lag in dungeons. I am not leveled up enough on NA to try trials, but am really anxious to find out if my NA trial experience will be as excruciating as my EU experience has been for months now.

My FPS seemed ok today, but the ping spikes were out of control. I am getting faster internet tomorrow, and I am hoping that helps, but I am not holding my breath.

    Specs:
    Asus X99 Pro motherboard
    i7 5820k, liquid cooled
    16 gig DDR4
    GTX 980 TI
    500 gig Samsung Evo SSD

I am nearly ready to call it quits with this game, and I have been here since Beta. Even started over from scratch on the NA server for the sole purpose of seeing if lag/ping is better (I live in the US), giving up 3 years of progress on the EU server in an effort to keep playing. I am getting less and less optimistic each passing day.

I suggest you make sure that you're using an ethernet cabled internet connection and not a wireless one. At least for trouble-shooting purposes I also suggest you completely uninstall all add-ons. Depending on your new internet speed you may also need to upgrade your internet cables (I think Cat 6 is the current standard for high speeds but please check your ISP technical forum) and ensure that your modem/router is able to run that speed. Hopefully you're not sharing the internet connection with other users or running anything else in the background beyond basic security software as that would also impact performance.

Thanks for the suggestions. :) I am running wired, as my PC is right next to the router...modem....thingy with the flashy lights. I will ask the tech guy tomorrow about the cable. I have tried disabling add ons to no effect, but have not yet tried uninstalling them. That will be something I try. I have lowered settings down to 1990's graphics, to no effect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I have run repairs. I run antivirus, malware, and registry scans regularly, and have run them in Safe Mode. I have done the SFC scan from the CMD prompt to look for issues (there were none). I have made sure everything is plugged in and have shut it all down and turned it all on again. :) I have called my ISP to see if there were issues, and they said everything looked good. (but of course they would say that) I have tried everything I know how to do, and even tried many things I didn't know how to do but was given the suggestion to try them. I really am at a loss here. Not sure there is much more I can do.
