Lag for daaaaaaays

Playing from Australia, lots of screen freeze disconnects and lag spikes yesterday. Not usually that bad

I don't have any lag issue's.

I haven't been dropped from pvp in months. Even in full pop locked camps lag in minimal. Sure you lose some fps when 200 people are around one keep. Compare this to 1-2 years ago when constant drops and rubber banding at 1-2 FPS was NORMAL.

People just like to complain tho.

Op did not even mention his computer specs or location in the world in relation to their server.

Typical "it works for me" useless comment. Computer specs and framerate have nothing to do with this issue. You have no idea what you're talking about.

OP you are using WIFI? Cmon dog...dont do that to yourself, wired is a must have for an mmo. I upgraded to wired almost a year ago and things been good....one tamriel came out though, so yeah. If you are wired and all that, it may have just been one of those days. Or weeks, or monthes; who knows.

Same problem. Live in Texas and use TWC/Spectrum. I've been playing ESO for a few hours a day for the last few years (seriously). I've also lived in the same place and had the same ISP the entire time. Just this last month things have turned to ***. I get random lag spikes while playing. My DPS is terrible in dungeons because during boss fights I'll get terrible lag, skills won't fire unless I hit the keys multiple times, and weaving is super difficult.

I dunno what changed. Either my ISP suuucks now, or it's something on ESO's end.

I've also been experiencing extreme lag. It's been getting worse ever since One Tamriel started. I like playing ESO, but with the lag issues, and having to buy the next DLC, I'm beginning to question my sub.

You're not using the same ISP as everyone with this issue. It's pretty obvious by now...

Today it's worse than ever. I know it's the free play trial and tons of new players are around, but yeesh. It's (ironically) quickly approaching the realm of unplayable with frequent leaps to 1k+ ping and 200 - 400 being "normal".

Going to check in with Spectrum and see if there's anything to be done for it, kind of surprised how many mentioned that name.

If you haven't called them yet I highly recommend asking them to refresh your DNS. You might have to wait a day though.

Lag is real bad this week . Maybe there is a wire loose at ZoS .

Playing from SEA here.

I'm a heavy PvP player and ping matters to me. Back then I was just using a standard dsl with a 3mb connection and my ping in ESO was 250ms stable when it first launched, my ping got higher within each patches then came One Tamriel which is the worst above all the patches, I had an average 350ms during that time but it did dropped after a couple of months to 300ms, it just gotten better during early 2017 around 280ms. Then I decided to switch to 20mbps fiber optics "just for this game" and guess what? I'm back at 250ms. No improvements at all! that's when I finally lost interest in playing this game. Btw ping is better on other games, some games with US based servers had an average of 160ms but usually it is 190-215ns.

PC NA charter as well. i called customer support and they were useless as always.

Seems the lag has mostly cleared up for me. No random spikes over 1k anymore. Might have been my ISP with network issues (wouldn't surprise me).

Wish I could say the same, just did a random dungeon with random ping spikes of 900+
