I can't help but laugh at your sustain issues with a lich set up.... I seriously can't. I can sustain with 800 magic regen, and here you are complaining about sustain with an easy destro/resto build.... I.... just lol....

Well to be perfectly fair: How much does your harness restore you in your builds? 2000+ magica x 3?

6k magika, basically the stack is free. With lich you've ~500 more recovery, meaning if you're refreshing your stack every six seconds and get 4500 back from harness then about the same sustain. That's without lich proc too.

Stack + ~1000 magica get returned yeah.

With lich you have about ~ 1100 to 1200 rec depending on CP + the procc. So a rec advantage of about ~400 but are lacking shieldsize (meaning more casts) is about 35% less. Also your spammed attacks are roughly 40% more expensive.

Having played both i personally find dw high magica to be easier to sustain than lich + x on destru staff - mainly because the high magica pool to begin with leaves more freedom as DW.

I hold my fingers crossed harness gets toasted aswell in the next patch tough :P

Harness is very op right now, but I wonder if it will be next patch. I haven't tested it enough to know yet, but without cost reduction it is super expensive.

It gets pushed to the extremes a little more next patch. It probably will be hardly vaible anymore on the beforementioned lich + x build (with x not being necropotence).
However it will still achieve the "your shieldstack is free get out of jail and receive 1000$" sweetspot for build with very high magica.

I would personally love to see a fixed resource return mechanic for harness that returned the cost when the shield is broken (not recasted) - with a slight magica positive scaling for each light armor piece worn.

Except you're not counting major intellect in your math I believe.

I'm not arguing for 1 second that DW is harder to sustain than destro, sorry if that seemed that way. Just adding that while he gets a ton back from harness its not grossly more than you get from harness+regen.

If harness gets rekt next patch then all the bad sorcs are ded.

1.) This max magic yolo build will not be sustainable next patch. It was never sustainable in no CP(even with witchmothers) and relies on 16% cost reduction from magician to manage my magic pool.

2.) My build only indefinitely sustains against magic builds. That said, I can still sustain against Stam builds for prolonged fights(even with them using poisons but are not competent duelers themselves) with only 800 regen.... The "lord of sorcs" seems to have issues sustaining with lich.... lol

Nope not saying that. All i say is every build using harness is easy to sustain compared to not using harness.

I also personally find DW + 50k+ maxmag on 880 rec easier to sustain than destru/resto on 37k magica with 1250 rec + lich procc when both use harness and fighting with atleast 1 magica opponent.
But that´s mainly about being comfortable with only recasting shields when needed and not spamming too much. If you refresh too much/early lich is going to be at a clear advantage.

None of these builds are "easy to sustain" to begin with.

They didn't. All ZOS said is that crystal frag was getting a nerf and there was 'more to come'. Whatever that means.

All of the shield crying is perpetuated by the same five or six really horrible players. My guess is @Lord_Hev 1vXed these guys repeatedly, because they use QAM videos to argue how OP sorc is.

ZOS has and hopefully will continue to ignore them. Bumping the same thread every day and tagging Gina isn't going to get them their way.

FFS!!! I was thinking that it is all the same people complaining about sorcs... Because all of a sudden there is literally a thread every day and they started all of a sudden and are not going away anywhere.

32% of people I kill in PvP are NB then all other classes have same representation, so there isn't a magsorc meta with super mass shields or something.

Every decent sorc has a 1vX video, even me (in my signature ) so most other classes, not a valid reason for a nerf.
