Templars running Reactive + Pirate Skeleton monster helm set... this is an absurd combination.

Fought an AD group last night with several of their group members running this combo.

Templars can purge the Defile effect from the Set-Proc.

Are you sure about this? I tested it in a duel with a magicka templar before Homestead and it didnt seem to be the case.

I think pirate skeleton’s first bonus should be changed to ~2500 physical and spell resistance and the second changed to minor protection with a persistent up time. Major protection is over performing but I would still like to see this set be a good alternative to bloodspawn and mighty chudan in the aspect of damage reduction.

I've used pirate 2-piece multiple times, but I always end up taking it off because I just don't need it. Just blocking and healing with the SnB ult is more than sufficient.

Checked it today (i havent played eso after recent CP change leaks). Defile Symbol stays in your buffbar but when you check your healing value you dont have the Defile debuff anymore after purging.

Agreed. Major protection should only come from Ultimate sources. Even resto staff ultimate has a limitation that isn't op (only applies MP on lowest health friendly, locked behind ultimate cost, and locked behind a support weapon.)

Plus Tremorscale. Just remove the snare, the damage is fine. Or make players untauntable.

I actually am fine with all monster helm sets. However, I feel that there should always be a method for counter play.

Don't like snares? Run Forward Momentum. That is if you are a stamina build. Magicka... well, those guys tend to run in ball groups anyways with lots of purges...

Last night I faced aDK and tried to Purge out of talons. I guess he was pressing that button fast because even though my toon was in the animation for the purge, the talons stayed on me.

So much for snare counters for magicka builds.

Actually vamp with troll is OP. My buddy used to run it on his stamblade (before switching to BS because nobody could beat him and he got tired of being called a fotm user, note that he's still enlarging anuses on PC EU) and he got like 2.5k health regen when it procced, along with the undeath passive from vamp and a vigor up. That's 2 vigors ticking at the same time and damage reduction under 60%, gl killing that
