What are my options for switching campaign 2017?

Have to pay with AP only?

Its very outdated (2014), @ZOS_BrianWheeler I feel should update it

You select "Pay with AP" but it then prompts you, "Pay AP Now" or gives the option to Switch Campaign when it ends. Choose switch when ends. As soon as your current campaign ends, it will switch you to your new campaign that you selected automatically.
