Started doing this to see what the crack was. And all I'm doing is running around making fireworks happen. Just checked out the ''Seriously Silly' rewards from the boxes and well, at least they wasn't lying about them being silly.

This holiday event isn't worth the time. I've tried it, and unfortunately, I find it very boring.

The jester personality is good though ;) Not going to buy it though. Z0$ and all that.

Meh. It's just an ingame activity to spice things up and let people get excited over. Personally I'm going to largely spend the time doing vma/writs because 1writs are so ploxy, it's like xmas morning. 2I get so bored if I'm not raiding anything. But to each their own. XD

I'll probably check it out during the weekend when things get laggy.

You guys who just say "it's free why are you complaining."

They have been putting on events for the last few months and this is by far the worst of them all.

They have not been putting out any new content for us to run at all.

People are just grasping for new things to do and this event is a pretty big letdown.

In addition, the rewards for this are absolutely terrible. The only runebox is the flower thrower, which in my opinion is way worse than a fireworks memento would have been. There are no costumes (not runebox costumes that is, we get crown ones though of course). There is no new motif with pages to collect, which is a major letdown for me.

In addition, there is a furniture piece this banner, which I thought was cool at first, but guess what. There is an insanely high drop rate on them, and the best part is they are f**** bind on pickup, which means we can't even give them away, and since my inventory is so full of them I just have to destroy them.

There are way fewer things to do in terms of questing. Pretty much most of my guild did the quests the first hour or two it came out and realized there is nothing more in this event.

Well , to be honest , I don't care about events other than the achievement points they give . BUT whoever did the Jester personality , I am talking to you . Thank you so much , I love your work . This is one of the best things in the game for me . When I first bought it , I couldn't stop laughing for hours . Literally , my throat started to hurt from laughing . Drunk personality was my favourite but this is just something else . After buying it , I activated and saw the idle . I was like ''not bad'' . Then I started running ... I would say you made my day but I will use this personality for so long and I am sure it will make me laugh each time I take a step . Again , thank you so much .

Note : Do not toggle walk with this personality . You may hurt yourself while laughing . Personally , I hit my little toe to my desk while getting back from kitchen because I was laughing and lost my balance ^^

    I tend to agree here.

It's nice and funny, but I'm a bit disappointed that the three quests you get seems to be all there is. I was hoping that it'd be three randomly chosen from a larger pool, each day. Like the 9 different things we had for New Life.

I'm not even doing anything that has to do with "Festival Activities".

I'm using the double XP pie, but other than that I'm just running around dungeon delving, Dolmen farming, and going through my normal motions.

And I really feel no need to grind out for the title of "Royal Jester"...

There's just nothing exciting about this festival.

    1. New housing item, when comparable items are pretty pricy (okay, it isn't a great item but whatever)
    2. 1, maybe 2 good recipes
    3. A zero-RNG hat (as opposed to a runebox reward) you can get in about 15 minutes.
    4. No motif to grind out

Eh, I'm pretty happy with this event. Sure, it feels like you get it wrapped up pretty quick, but to be honest I like a quick little holiday event more than killing delve bosses over and over again for hours while dressed as a skeleton.

The Jester personality... omg... whoever is responsible for this deserves a big hug and a plate of cookies. I bust up laughing anytime someone runs past me with this. It's clear that a lot of work and thought went into this. I didn't think anything was ever going to top the hilarity of the drunk personality.

Personally speaking, I'm grateful there isn't yet another motif to have to spend hours on end farming for. Don't get me wrong, I love the event motifs because the drop rate on them is drastic change of pace from literally every other item drop in game, except maybe lock picks and 0 value vendor trash, but those are better left to longer events with more substance. I don't want a new motif even single event.

The banner drop rate is stupidly high. There's no reason for the banners to be bind on pickup, either. I ran all 5 of my accounts though the event yesterday, in part because all I was getting were banners, and now I have 12 of the stupid things and can't do anything with the excess but destroy them. They're 0 value vendor trash, to add insult to injury; can't even sell them for the usual measly 10 gold. Even during short, silly, for-funnies events, we can't get a break from the game's stinginess and ridiculous RNG.

I'm very glad they listened when we complained about New Life festival and are now spreading quest givers out into each alliance. This eased a lot of the day one congestion. I'm also glad they went back to giving out XP mementos, but it still lacks any sort of visual indicator when the buff wears off. (I'm hoping that New Life this year, will see two more tents with "Brenda," and some sort of flask or mug memento that we can drink from wherever we are.)

This is a short event, it's got the appropriate amount of content and drops for the amount of time it will be running. You can zip through the dailies if you're inclined, or grab your free XP pie and be done with it. I am a little disappointed we don't have a vendor off to the side like we did with New Life, that sells extra consumables with neat effects, and that the Dazzlers aren't a memento, but I'll live. I've seen a lot of people getting dressed up for the event while running quests, which is cool and helps spread the festival vibe around to other areas.

One year at one of my old jobs, we got a Christmas bonus on our paychecks. It was an ok amount, but quite a few people complained that it was too small for them. My employer decided to take note of everyone who said that.

Next year came around. We got our Christmas bonus checks again. Well, I should say, some of us did. Every person who complained the previous year, got nothing.

This literally does not apply to a game where we are the customers, not the employers. We are paying ZOS for content, not the other way around.

Pretty much this for me. The dialog is amusing but the quests themselves...they're tedious. (Also, the Butcher spotting me while I'm invisible? Really?)

I think the biggest drawback for me is that I'm not learning anything new about Tamriel. (Yes, it's not that kind of holiday. I don't care; I'm a lore warrior and that's what I feed off of.) I'll probably make use of the XP for my bank alts, but this one is already ranks below the previous Festivals as far as enjoyment in my mind.

I am a new player that has recently hit a wall as far as getting smeared by everything I run into. Level 31. It may be my build or items... anyway... This week has been 3 days of getting really frustrated about how badly I am doing. Then this festival came along. I know it isn't full of great challenge or reward. But today is the first day this week I have really enjoyed playing.

I didn't die. I got to visit places I had not been yet and collect the wayshrines so I can return. Got some silly banners and laughed at some fireworks. Went up two levels today. I get what everyone is saying, and maybe I didn't know what to expect as this is my first "event". I am enjoying it. Maybe that's a newbie thing.

Since the difficulty of everything is generally the same as you level, it may be your gear is simply underleveled. I would recommend using current level gear.

Thanks for the response. Not that I should get into it here as it isn't the topic of the thread. I actually do have a pretty good handle on the armor thing. Almost everything is current level with buffs. If there is a particular place for help with that I would greatly appreciate that.
Two dvelves is all combat content in the quests, they would be easy as its lots of players around.
If you have problems ask at the player helping player section, my guess is some error in build like using wrong armor type, around level 30 an rotation also start to be required, place damage over time effects first.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
