Jester's Festival is Boring!

Started doing this to see what the crack was. And all I'm doing is running around making fireworks happen. Just checked out the ''Seriously Silly' rewards from the boxes and well, at least they wasn't lying about them being silly.

This holiday event isn't worth the time. I've tried it, and unfortunately, I find it very boring.

The jester personality is good though Not going to buy it though. Z0$ and all that.

All the festivals are basically the same thing though.

Go to a place, do a thing for a person. Collect a widget and bring it back. Do something to players.

It's not supposed to be riveting new material, just a fun distraction from your other actives.

Are there new recipes or a new motif being awarded for quest completion?

And is the x2 XP memento a guaranteed drop or RNG?

It's a momento that you earn just for starting the quest.

you get given the XP pie straight away. No motif, just silly firework candy consumable, a hat of misrule and some titles

I got two new food recipes and a home furnishing jester banner....I would say the rewards aren't bad.

The witches festival, orscinium, and imperial city anniversaries were fun. You were rewarded for playing dungeons and farming bosses during the witches festival and double maelstrom/crafting drops during orscinium and then double tel var for imperial city. All of those ideas were fantastic! I don't like the approach that they did for New Life and Jester festival. At least there's double xp.

You do a small quest you get a pie you eat said pie each time before you play and you get XP boost until the event ends. No RNG for that part of the event.

This kind of festival should be simple and straight forward. A little plus to your regular activities.

Which is why I've said a couple times already, that there is zero hype for me with this "festival"...

It's still cool they have holidays in game. I've. Been gaming awhile on console and this is just getting started give them more time and holiday events may get even better

All.i care about is the double XP. We'll also the achievements going after them as well. It is boring.

Biggest disappointment is I can't make gold from the furnishings.

Jeesh, its just a fun event, have fun, use the double exp. Don't wine about it not meeting your high standards... Take it for what it is, a year ago there was no such thing as events.

Hmm. No good rewards except one recipie. Boring and repetitive fetch style quests. You'd think someone would have said something in the PTS feedback thread. Oh wait. We did. And nothing got changed, just better animations. #SurprisedNotSurprised

It's by far the weakest of the events so far but wouldn't say it's bad. Just not much to it. At least it's another week of double XP.

I am a new player that has recently hit a wall as far as getting smeared by everything I run into. Level 31. It may be my build or items... anyway... This week has been 3 days of getting really frustrated about how badly I am doing. Then this festival came along. I know it isn't full of great challenge or reward. But today is the first day this week I have really enjoyed playing.

I didn't die. I got to visit places I had not been yet and collect the wayshrines so I can return. Got some silly banners and laughed at some fireworks. Went up two levels today. I get what everyone is saying, and maybe I didn't know what to expect as this is my first "event". I am enjoying it. Maybe that's a newbie thing.

Since the difficulty of everything is generally the same as you level, it may be your gear is simply underleveled. I would recommend using current level gear.

Thanks for the response. Not that I should get into it here as it isn't the topic of the thread. I actually do have a pretty good handle on the armor thing. Almost everything is current level with buffs. If there is a particular place for help with that I would greatly appreciate that.

Its the constant flow of double xp events like this that make every pug experience nothing more then the thwanging of dual bow bar wielding light attack snipe spammers...noone learns how to actually play anymore, just grind cp as quick as possible.
