I would really like to run normal AA to unlock the white dye, but I am not really keen to join a guild just to run this one thing. Is this the proper place to ask if I can tag along on a run with some folks?

Have you tried asking in zone? Just put together a quick nAA farm run. You can pug it quite easily.

Are u on EU or NA? We farm normal trials from time to time. We have a good solid group that could easily carry players through normal runs. For AA you need the 12 players so just shouting at zone chat won't take you there. Usually people quit after waiting for 10-20mins.
