VMA staffs not working!

If you have more than one wall of elements down on an enemy at one time only the first person to put down the wall will be able to have increase attack damage. so in trials 7 people with VMA staffs have no enchantment bonus. this is ridiculous that is thousands of dps lost per person in the raid group.

Does that go for other WD enchants or just VMA?

If there are multiple VMA staff users, you could have some people use poisons on their staff. The poison overrides the secondary enchant effect, but you still get the increased spell damage part of the enchant. (Temporary workaround option, not a solution, I know).

I havent tested other enchants, i heard someone mention this bug and i tested it myself to find it was real.

I always wondered why my dps on bosses was consistently lower than on the dummy with raidbuffs. This might be the reason.

So now on the vma staves to be used are lit staves? Aether and Moondancer infernos at the ready.

Just a heads up you do less dps with a vma staff of any trait (minus sharp) vs a non set item sharpen trait lol... the maths has been tested and I also have nirn vma staffs that dont out dps non set crafted sharp staffs lol...

Well I guess they found the solution to the vma loot issues, just make the weapons worthless in a group setting.

I was just telling someone yesterday how they can't fix one thing without breaking 2. I'm sure someone will find a few other broken things soon.

Can confirm this (tested on dummy): 3479 light attack without Crushing wall, 5476 with crushing wall. 3479 with crushing wall if another player placed his blockade first. All numbers crits.

This is annoying me hard. Spent months farming those weapons only to see them bugged out and useless now..

I tested this today on a test dummy, and can also confirm the crushing wall vma enchant is bugged. First test was just to get base crit numbers on light attacks. Second test was to test crit numbers on light attacks with elemental blockade down (sharpened vma inferno was used). Third test was with another person putting down their blockade first (with vma staff equipped as well), followed by me immediately applying my own blockade, and testing crit numbers from light attacks.
(this was on mNB)

Base crit: 4132
With MY blockade: 6576
With someone else's blockade, and mine applied after: 4135

I tested this a 4th time, just to confirm, but with me applying my blockade first, and the other person applying theirs after, and my crit was back up to 6576 like normal. So basically it appears to be a bug very similar, or even possibly identical to the bug you guys just fixed for DK burning embers.

Wish they would atleast comment to let us know if they are even looking into it. For something that takes so long to farm it should work like it is suppose to.

Lol they never worked anyway. Makes me wonder how these pc add ons actually read the data. If they never worked on light attacks how did they ever get considered meta in the 1st place.

The last patch notes said vma staves now work on light attacks. Before that they only ever worked with a full heavy since day 1 (hence why lit staves were so powerful) so they fixed this and made them work like embers did prior to homestead. Only one per target.

Considering I spent a year farming this thing, yeah, I am rather upset. I am gonna go play zelda for a few weeks...
