Cyrodiil and Accessible Cheats

I have acquired a large Personal Video Collection recorded videos showing many players cheating. I have seen people teleporting through rocks and using abilities in Slaughter fish filled rivers. I have seen people jump off of castles and not take any damage. I have video of people not taking damage at all without the use of stacking Shields. I have seen sorcerers teleport over eight times back to back only to turn around and destroy the three people chasing the player. Same goes with infinite Dodge roll.

I was curious how these players accomplished this. And it's partly to do with ZoS! Many of these players are repeat offenders and only suffer temporary bans.

A simple Google search will reveal many private forums advertising software Alters many aspects of this game.

I'm growing tired of this because I am absolutely powerless to fight it. Naming and shaming is bannable and I'm not allowed to post any videos in these forums designed for the actual players!

So what can we do? I've reported so many players but I still see them playing. Obviously someone is dropping the ball here.

They should just remove naming & shaming cause people want to know how to avoid the certain hack/cheat but I get why they do it so that person doesn't get others to do it.

Not sure about using abilities while in slaughter filled rivers but everything else you mentioned are skills in the game and not cheating. Bolt escape, wards, harness magica, heal over times, and with a little theory crafting its very easy to make an infinite dodge roll build.

If you have a problem with a skill or game design then its best to contact zenimax rather then trying to shame someone when they are clearly not cheating.

In a perfect world you might be right. But after I did the research, these available hacks emphasize what I am seeing in game.

Similarly, I'd like to call out the paranoid rage-addicts who whisper me with threats because they believe I'm cheating when I'm not.

Solutions plz. You're ignoring the fact that these hacks exist. First and foremost that is the issue, people reporting them should not be.

Naming and shaming is a stupid rule. Unethical players ought to be called out for their actions; there's nothing like a little public humiliation to correct the behavior of people who care about their reputation in game. If you're not the type of person who would care, then a ban may be more...persuasive.

As for false claims of cheating, well, I consider those a badge of honor. I'd be flattered if someone thought I played so well they thought I was cheating.

You will find that cheaters try to shut down these conversations quickly by shaming the people who bring them up. This game has turned in to a cheaters paradise and sadly nothing will get done about it. This thread will most likely get closed and hide down with all the others.

There would be no need for naming and shaming, if ZOS would take a firm stance on cheating.

OP I really hate to break it to you but this will never change.

It's been almost three years, and the only time ZOS did anything was when a player went full on with the cheat engine to prove a point. They did some make up bans and calmed everyone down then went back to doing nothing.

There is no money in them policing this game from cheats/exploits/bots and as such they're not going to invest resources in doing it.

I have posted so many times in so many of these threads since launch and never seen change, I thought the huge cheat engine issues last year (or was it the year before?) was a turning point for ZOS on these issues, but it was more empty promises.

I love the game for what it is, I will keep playing and having fun, but it does make me very sad to see it abused so openly and the developers show no care towards it.

It is only a small percentage of users. They are usually alone and not in a group. I would assume this is because of latency and macro slicing. It's amusing when you find one of these players in an actual Zerg and suddenly have no skill.

Just because i play on PS4 doesnt change the fact that all of the things mentioned are features of the game with the exception of using abilities while swimming. I am all for getting rid of cheating but you need facts to back up claims that dont contradict with the basic game design.

I cant imagine playing on pc with all the add ons and potential for cheating, but thats the platform you chose knowing the vulnerabilities. Zos doesnt have time to properly test there own code let alone from third party add ons so as long as they are allowed I dont see much changing.

Hey you can always come join us on PS4, we have plenty of laaaaaag to make up for cheating!

I find this to be quite an exaggeration though.. a lot of these can be accomplished through in-game build mechanics with practice and prep.

Teleport through rocks is clipping issues happens all the tine.

Slaughterfish is lag, they are not in the water server side, but you see them as so.

Msorc streaking 8 times 100 points into reduced cost and seducer.

No fall damage bosmer with a shield on.

No damage gealtg regen build with vitality pots

Dodge roll is sets and champjon points and passives man.

And thats off the top of my head, its crap mecganics totally within the scope of the game.

I'm kicking my self in the nads with this post. So many just pass the blame as a L2Play issue saying these folks are actually capable of these things by legit means. Its simply not true if you could see this footage, i have been encouraged by my guilds to send it into zos and have. No its not every player. Does it have to be? But ill let you know that one player can ruin your day by having an unfair advantage and then choosing to rub it in your face because they can and know it.

Honestly who cares? They're attention seeking in a video game.

It's not like their actions are of any meaningful consequence.

The biggest problem is it makes ZOS look like incompetent amateurs that things like Cheat Engine still work at all.

You are right. The type of mind that relies on cheats to excel at a video game is a small mind indeed.

I am an individual that takes pride in personal achievements. I see a challenge and persevere until successful. Watching people cheat is a poison to this mindset as it contradicts everything I personally believe in.

Abuse is a cycle. Doesn't make it admirable or right. But it does make sense.

The worse things are, the worse people behave.

If the footage is that good, post it on Youtube under an obvious title and let people google it. Zeni's naming and shaming rules don't apply to posting on Youtube, beyond not providing a link to such content here.

I think the best thing Zenimax could do is to publish anonymized records of 3-day, social and permabans on a regular basis. Players understandably believe that few such actions are taken, but there have been plenty of cases where action has been taken but few people know it. A good example was the Salvation bug, which cost one guild I'm in a dozen members.

I support the naming & shaming policy, because the number of false accusations far exceed the number of legitimate cases. I've seen moderately capable players I've played with be accused of cheating, and had one person accuse me of cheating because I survived their failgank. For the record, you apparently can't see Chudan - Armor Master - Reactive through a dress, but a detect pot would clue you in on the 2 stealthed guys waiting to counter-gank you. Because ganker tears are magnificent.

Do a search on the hacks available in game. The OP outlined this as the issue. You are able to join a forum and get links to this software. Some of them are actually files you just drag and drop into your game folder that replace in game files. I will not participate in naming and shaming as that will only get me in trouble. The videos have been sent in to zenimax and the only reply i have recieved is with many words of caution regarding how i proceed.

Zeni may be a horde of litigious bullies, but they don't control the entire internet. There are plenty of ways to post your videos without invoking their petty forum wrath.
