Offically the worst RNG ever!

5 hrs this morning trying to catch 1 of 3 rare blue fish in Stonefalls and nadda not one! *** loads of greens wet gunney bags etc. including 2 Sea Sponge from foul water?
Them just to top it off, fillet 350+ fish and get 1 Perfect Roe! so Zos are you trying to get your player base to quit playing? I know the achievement is supposed t o be difficult but this is just taking the [insert]!
I mean as if fishing isn't already the most boring thing you can do!

I have a collection of every single sharpened magicka set staves I've ever gotten. I've only gotten one sharpened stamina set stave ever.

Hah, just wait until you try to get the green dab in Stormhaven. That one took a LONG time; over 4 stacks of worms for that one fish after I was long done with the rest of the zone.

Literally amassed hundreds if not thousands of shoulders and NEVER got a Malubeth.

Gave up dungeons.

Ran a few last month to get Kra'ghs - Got 75+ shoulders no *&^%& Malubeth.

Now in 2 years of playing still no Malubeth.

People misunderstand vMA, you design your role after the drops. leveling up an alt to use the drop is faster than getting an perfect drop.

Ye I know vMA is bad I've seen lots of threads on it but for me personally this was bad bad! least you was doing something other than just staring at the screen!

It is RNG... Last week I fileted 60 fish and got 3 roe, yesterday 600 and got no roe. Spend 500 worms to get the final blue of auridon, got the lake blue of grathwood from the first hole.

Sometimes RNGesus is kind, sometimes he hates you. Try sacrificing a goat.

Also try finding a fishing buddy. I found the blues drop A LOT faster when there is 2 persons fishing from the same spot, it really makes a big difference.

So this morning after 2 half hrs I finally got 1 of the rare fish I'm after but I also caught; Kelp, small pile - Fish, Bass - Fish, Salmon - Fish small - Seashell, Sandcake and yes another Sea Sponge, however this time I caught it in the sea which brings me to another question which was also asked in another thread.
Are homestead items water specific? well looking at it now I would say no.
Also item wise (not RNG) we have gone from a 1 in 4 chance to catch a rare fish before Homestead to a 1 in 18+ chance!
Looks to me like Homestead shafted us big time! Unless the RNG was taken into account somehow? Would those Homestead items I caught today potentially have been rare blue fish?
Would someone from Zos care to comment? @ZOS_JessicaFolsom

Sadly, this will almost always be the problem when your focus is for the rewards rather than for the enjoyment of the process.

OP were you in a group or playing alone? If you're in a group of four it vastly improved the odds of pulling rare fish.

You've done fishing in ESO right? I don't think one can ever enjoy the process, unless you're talking about what I am watching on Netflix or YouTube whilst doing it.

Log out come back the next day you will get it in a few holes I had this issue more then once when fishing and every time I went on a 5 hour run with no blue I did this and it worked.

I have, and do, yes. And I guess that's one area where we differ? It's nice to relax sometimes with friends and just faff about; do some fishing, sometimes harvest our way from one school to the other, sometimes have a chat whilst we're doing it. Enjoy the scenery. Sometimes do nothing at all except clear the mind and just fish.

I'm sure that's not so difficult to understand.
