    Altmer, no question.

Mag NBs can easily get 45k max mag and the max mag passive helps a lot.

Recovery passive too and you get 3% flame damage too.
The 7% flame damage from dunmer is definitely not enough I compete at all.

    Pve and pvp is altmer

OK let's just ignore that all of the top magblade dps are dunmer for a second. Do you honestly think that 1% magicka can compete with 3% flame damage?

The best magicka NB is probably kena and guess what? He's a high elf
It's not just 1% max magicka it's 9% extra recovery.
Most nb skills aren't even flame damage apart from the light and heavy attacks which can work without 3% extra lmao

You're points are so invalid btw "all the best players do it so it's correct" no. Mathematically a altmer IS better and even with that stupid point most people are actually high elfs anyway

mathematically, 1% max magicka doesnt beat dunmers flame damage.
Regen doesnt matter in end game pve.

An who the hell is "The best magicka NB is probably kena" never heard of a player named kena.
If you mean the monster set, still no, cos kena can be sustained easy with siphoning.

    Dunmer is best for DPS
    Altmer second best for DPS

*Dunmer is best for every class and role
N'wah S'wits have nothing on us.
    With cold regards,
    Mythic

9% extra recovery isn't that useful on the class that already has the best sustain in the game. Not only does the class have a Magicka Recovery passive that is substantially more powerful than the Altmer's passive, but it also has Siphoning Attacks jammed in there. For Dragonknights, Sorcerers, and Templars? Yes, it is absolutely a great passive for those classes, since they all have sustain problems, but Nightblades don't need the extra sustain. They have all the sustain in the world. What they lack is damage, and Dunmer have higher damage than Altmer.

Now let's talk about how much flame damage Nightblades deal. A Nightblade rotation typically uses Merciless Resolve, Twisting Path, Impale, and Cripple for magic damage, and Fire Blockade, Force Pulse, Fiery Rage, Shooting Star, sometimes Scalding Rune, and their monster set of choice (Grothdarr, Ilambris, or Skoria) for flame damage. Even if the Nightblade doesn't use Scalding Rune or ever cast Shooting Star, they still have more flame damage abilities than magic damage abilities in their rotation. One of which is Blockade, one of the strongest DoTs in any Magicka setup's rotation. Nightblades deal a lot of flame damage, and it all gets a far bigger boost from the Dunmer's flame damage passive than the magic damage abilities get from the Altmer's Magicka passive.

For the Queen... I went Altmer. She's really pretty and hates all lesser races, she barely tolerates small elves and cats.
    For the Horde!

You guys are really discussing if 1% Magicka or 2% damage is better overall? Guess what, it doesn't matter. Not in PvE and for sure not in PvP. Those differences are so negligible that rather you blinking costs you your win than those percentages.

Really not trying to necro this, but I'd rather just comment here then make a new thread.

Wanna make a mNB with PVP has his primary focus and I can't decide between Dark or High Elf. Considering that their damage will be very similar (Dark Elf with a slight edge possibly) I'm really just trying to choose between utility/sustain bonuses.

Dark Elves have 6% Stamina, which is nice.
Dark Elves also have Flame resist, which is useful if I'm going vamp in this mDK/Eye of flame meta.

High Elves give 9% Magicka Recovery, which is nice. Just now thinking--possibly OP if ZOS reduces our sustain CP in the future.

    Help me out?
