Before it is suggested, I get plenty of hits and do damage them. I've done both bosses 3 or 4 times now. Not received a drop once. Friend who is with me also not getting drops

    From the 2.6.4 patch notes:

In order to get loot and XP credit for killing a mob, you now only need to deal 3% of its maximum health

I remember the day the change went into effect clearly, because it's the day my tank started getting world boss drops even in huge groups.

That might be about the same time pure healers started complaining about no longer getting drops?

    Exactly, yes.

Wasn't that just for Halloween event drops?

No, that change was part of the One Tamriel update, and is still in place today.

Limit of 12 people, that was posted today.

You get loot if you deal 3% or more of the total damage. If your damage is very low compared to the other players in the fight, you won't get loot. There is also a global cooldown on boss loot, so if you're killing them over and over on respawn, you won't get drops each time, no matter how much damage you deal.

if there are more than 12 people then some people won't get loot.

if you see a crap load of people at the boss and you can't pull 35k single target, walk away you are wasting your time. also they only drop 4 motifs anyway, the delve bosses drop the rest

so if you have daggers, gloves, axes and bows you aren't getting anything from them

I haven't got a drop once from either. I can't imagine I'm doing that small of damage...must be.

Loot goes to the top 12 players for healing and damage.

By the way, I just killed two world bosses in Hew's Bane, and got ZERO drops. ZERO. Not even 19 gold. Not sure if that's a bug, or if it's because there were a million other people there at the same time.

I read that there's a limit of 12 people who get rewards.

@TheRealPotoroo is correct. There is a limit to how many people can get rewards from monsters (and it is 12) based on top contributions for damage and healing.

First I have ever heard of a cooldown. I have gone back and forth between world bosses in Hew's Bane over and over and gotten loot every single time.

Only 12 people can get loot from a single world boss. That is the issue that most are running into. If the zerg is under 12 people, then you aren't doing 3% of the boss's HP.

Not according to Jessica's post today.

You might not be doing enough damage and not even know it. Throw everything you have at the boss as soon as it spawns. It's basically a dps test right now. Save bursty ultimates. Templar Jesus beams can be a great asset if you time them right. Lots of ground AOE. I'd say the absolute minimum to aim for would be 25k, but if there are 20 or more people there, you might need higher. It's definitely not for more casual players when that many show up.

    @SolidusPrime

Its a 5 minute cool down, and your not going from World Boss to World Boss or even Delve Boss and killing them in less than 5 minutes.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
