sarcastic title aside, magicka is simply doing everything compared to stamina's lack of roles or proficiency within said roles

I'm not one to cry nerf, however I will suggest buffs.

ice staff changes made magicka tanking a legit thing, and magicka dps and healing has always been good and is top of the line now more then ever.

stamina has been left slightly behind in pve, it just does not have the mob clear that magicka does. and has not even the slightest chance at being a healer. I think someone was going to as a joke make a stam healer and spam the vigor morph with the bigger radius.

so can we make this a thing? or do something to bring balance back between the two? stamina could use a trash clear boost to make it competitive with magicka at least.

    I used to stamina heal on my stam sorc from time to time with Echoing Vigor and put down a Blood Fountain as long as you stayed within 5 meters of me we would be be fine used to nearly 4 dps most dungeons with all melee it would be cool to get a buff to stamina healers tho we have next to nothing.

    I've run with stamina healers before in vet dungeons and they do just fine. It's when you start getting into normal and veteran trials where the differentiation starts to become much more apparent.

    You have a point. Magicka can be the active resource for all roles now (Yes, tanks could tank with magicka but Stam was still the active resource due to blocking). The only issue I see is Stam in PVP and how balance issues would arrise if Stam classes get soild heals other than rally and vigor. Last thing we need is a stam BOL honestly

    They leaked the stamina healer skill line recently. Here's some of the ability descriptions:

    Massage
    Sensually massage an allied target, relieving tension to restore stamina and health while Channeling.
    Morphs:
    -shiatsu massage: increased healing
    -oil massage: also restores magicka

    Acupuncture:
    Throw a volley of hair like needles at an ally. This ability has a 10% chance to hit pressure points, granting the ally health and increased stats for a short duration.

    Pharmacist:
    Prescribe a handful of skoo... prescription drugs to your ally, reducing their damage taken temporarily. After the effect wears off, the target has a 50% chance of going into withdrawals, gradually losing stamina and magicka.
    Morphs:
    -pure product: no longer causes withdrawals.
    -laced dose: withdrawal chance increased to 100%, but target Gains major berserk for the duration.

    Placebo:
    Perform a healing animation on an ally, making them think you healed them.

    Ultimate: medically induced coma
    Save your ally from certain death by inducing a coma and disconnecting them from the game world.

    the reason stam sucks in trials compared to magicka is a few reasons but aoe is one of them.

    stamina has a single aoe ish ultimate available to everyone in the from of dawnbreaker, but its a cone.

    magicka has the best trash clear ult in the game in the form of destroy ult, or even meteor is fantastic for killing trash because you can refund the cost for simply hitting enimies, and almost all of them have a ranged morph.

    that leads us into ranged damage, magicka wins hands down, even if there was no need for ranged (and there is on occasion) the time on target compared to the time to get to your target to begin doing damage = dps loss. that's not taking into account that you usually want to be stacked up for heals and the like and having a few stam running about here and there doing sub par damage compared to the magicka blob that can damage and heal from the safety of their blob.

    healing, one again magicka wins hands down, the only two decent stam heals are vigor and rally, both heal over time (aside from rally that takes about 10 sec to hits its optimal heal) and one requires a weapon skill line that is sub par dps in pve content.

    now we get into other little bonuses, magicka has the best food in the game at the witches brew that gives max magicka, max health, and magicka regen, there is no stamina version of this.

    magicka has minor magicka steal that contributes 400 magicka per sec or is equal to 800 magicka regen as long as your doing damage. stamina has no such ability. and Templars have a SUPER easy time applying this buff for the party.

    magicka builds also make use of heavy attacks better, there are a few builds the make use of lightning staves and this can obliterate the need for resource sustain and allow you to pile on more damage.

    the only thing stamina really has going for it is dodge roll. . .and that's it.

    magicka can do everything stamina can do, some things it cannot do, and in many cases everything better.

    I don't really want to see magicka nerfed, but I would like stamina to have a better role in pve then just sub par dps fill.

    As a templar healer with my main I promise, I will learn to use eledrain instead of siphon, radiant aura instead of repentance and orbs instead of shards.
    I can not see stamina whining crybabies anymore.

    As a nightblade healer I don't like stamina guys too, cause I can't restore stamina for them.

    And... please not stam heal. It would need new weapon, new everything. It's too difficult to heal with classes other than templar now and you want even stamhealers to have easiest way to heal? Please no.

    Healer by the meaning of it supposed to be connected to magic. The game is ugly enough in different other aspects making nonsense in world of might and magic.
    What they have to improve is single target dps of stamina users. It must be way stronger than magic.

    and most of my talk about stam healing has been sarcastic to highlight the over flexability of magicka in comparison to stamina.

    I directly asked for balance between the two, and a wee bit of improved trash clear for stamina.

    no healing in ESO will EVER be as easy mode as magicka Templar is, and that's kind of the point.

    a lot of the same basic things that bost healing boost magicka dps (magicka, spell damage, regen, cost reduction) and I have already highlighted in a previous post.

    lol Zo$ trying to turn stamina into green magicka is funny, shouldve stuck to the original idea of stamina being a def resource but with all abilities using magicka, making stamina the equal to magicka is going to need much more design changes than ZO$ is incapable of.

    I agree with that idea, and would hate to see things like classes disappear, and luckily ZOS seems to be doing a good job of keeping class identity a thing.

    however one archetype completely over performing another in every way including some ways exclusive to the over performing archetype and saying we should let this continue and not balance it for fear of making it the same is. . .silly.

    should we take magicka dps all together because stamina does dps and thus they are getting to be too close to the same thing? no that's silly. but we can provide balance and make them different at the same time, its not exclusive.

    it still was pretty defensive for a while, then things like mist from and other skills were provided to magicka that made them just as defensive. back in 1.5 and before then we didn't even have vigor XD stamina sucked so bad.

    its only staying competitive in pvp because of proc sets and ganking.
