I cannot play with my main character!

I cannot play with my main character. After a crash I tryed to relog and I can not play anymore. Everything is working fine with the other characters ( I can log them in the game) but not with this specific one. Being my main I am really disappointed from this situation. Any suggestions? I already sent a ticket but I was hoping to play this morning.

What's the actual issue you're having? Just access to that character ie long loading screens when choosing the character.

If you haven't already try being offline on your account for 15mins as this will reset all the characters and might solve the issue, if it's more than that then you will have to wait for support.

I get this on PS4 when the game crashes on the character you were playing you can not log back into the same one, Try this:

Log out, log back in, select another character, wait until it loads up, then log out of that character go back to the character that was stuck and log into that one.

See if that works

I get access normally to the first loading screen to the character selection; then, after choosing my main character, I get stuck on the subsequent one. Around 2 minutes later I receive an error message which suggests me to check my internet connection. Considering the possibility to log in all my other characters I doubt it has something to do with that. I already made several unsuccessful attempts by now.

Happened to me too. Just log in to another character and play it for a while, I was able to log in with the character after approx 30 minutes without problem. This is known issue to the ZOS.

Yeah you might have to log out for a bit and allow that character to reset itself.

Happened to me too. Just log in to another character and play it for a while, I was able to log in with the character after approx 30 minutes without problem. This is known issue to the ZOS.

If your character is in a crowded town like Belkarth or Rawl'Kha, try loggin in to them at off-peak hours, with less players around.

I have now rebooted again the computer and waited 20 minutes to log in back to the entire account. Same situation of before! I can log every other character but him. Thanks everyone.

Could well be the seige is still going on. It won't log you in until your toon is retrievable iirc. Cyro is packed atm with zergs everywhere hoovering up AP 24/7.

I brought another character in the same exact location of my main one, same server and same campaign. No sieges going on and still unable to log back with my character! How long am I supposed to wait to receive a support assistance for such major issues? Is there any other way I can move/reset my character somewhere else?

Update: Crashed with my other character as well inside Cyrodiil. Guess what? I cannot log him too! Now I can definitely close the game. Really disappointed!

So you are in Cyrodill PvP zone ? That explains a lot. I had similar problems. It usually happens when the servers have max population and I end-up getting dropped from server. Then I try to re-login and I either end up in infinity loading screen or back to main menu with information "make sure you have access to internet bla bla bla".

I tried to log in 3 times and it didn't work. So I have logged in on a different character. Go to the bank, darw/withdraw something, train mount, buy something from guild traders etc. The game registered that activity on other character and when I logged-in on my main character I was not in Cyrodill, but in a previous PvE zone I was before Cyrodill.

So if you have problem with login it looks like you either have to wait until there will be too much population in PvP campaign so the game will move you to where you were before. Or just try doing something on different character so the game will register that activity.
Alternatively if it won't work contact support - they can do probably more than people here on forums.

You make me think that this could be the case. The PvP Server is pop-locked now and I suppose it has something to do with that. Nevertheless, is really frustrating. Especially if you think that now is happening on two different characters.
I wonder: if the server remains locked until Monday because of PvP event, will I have to wait until that? O_o

You made me laugh here!

I understand that the servers could have been experiencing issues because of the number of players etc. but I also believe these kinds of problems deserve a quicker support. How long could it take to move my character somewhere else for a CSR? Even though they certainly have many other important tickets to sort out I am unable to play from several hours and I think they could address this kind of things with a bit of priority. Thank you all for the suggestions

I did of course. Usually I would not expect a ticket to be solved in few hours. I had contacted the support many times in the past for minor problems and I totally understood the waiting times (1-2 day for my experience) considering how many people is addressing to them every day. But in this case I just cannot play, plain and simple and I was hoping for a quicker help.

Only way to get it is to wait for off hours and log on that one, when campaign is not triple locked. Happened to me few times, and that solved the problem.

Only way to get it is to wait for off hours and log on that one, when campaign is not triple locked. Happened to me few times, and that solved the problem.

I keep trying logging him every 5 minutes My fear is that the server could remain like this for days considering the upcoming weekend and the PvP-Event. I really hope for the support to catch me also because I would like to experience this event like everyone else

Did you by chance have addons enabled with that character? If so, try disabling them and then seeing if that helps.

I tried everything and more. Logged in and out from a different character, deleted the file ZO_Ingame.lua, lowered the graphics to Mininum, disabled all the add-ons, reset my router, repaired from launcher, played from a different machine, etc. I still cannot play. Someone from support could just move my character in 3 seconds to another location..

Edit: My character is unlocked now. I don't know if they moved him or not but I can finally play.

I don't know . I've heard that it is a common issue during these days of servers stress tests! Hopefully they will solve the issue in the next patches.

As for now I am really happy that I can get back to play . Thanks for the support!
