Error 210 - Patch Manifest Error?

Hi there,

I've been getting a lot of this kind of errors every single time after patch. Been happening for 2 straight patches now and I've been doing REPAIRs for all those and it's EXTREMELY time consuming as I'm sure all of you know.
Does anyone have a fix for this? Searching and digging the forums didn't help so I might as well ask here now.

Did you ever try closing patcher, rebooting PC and trying again?

This seems to hit folks every patch and has done for three years.

ZOS have never been any practical help when I reported it (their usual exit/reboot and/or repair never solved it) and I gave up trying to fix it whenever it hits me now (four separate times and counting), the easy way round it is to run the game directly instead of via the launcher: try running ESO.EXE instead of the ESOLauncher.EXE which the installed shortcut runs.

The only time I ever run the launcher now is when the game tells me I'm running an outdated client, like it did today, and I never see any problems even when the launcher is having a hissy fit about error 209/210. It seems to fix itself from time to time only to break a few patches later.

Just close and re-open the launcher until you get the "Play" button. No need to do a repair, no need to reboot the machine. Alternatively, once you've installed a patch then you can ignore the launcher and run the game from the .exe file. However, this error message generally hits immediately after a patch and goes away again a day or two later. I used to get it every patch but haven't had it for the past year or so.

Noted with thanks, everyone. Managed to get back into the game after closing and reopening patcher midway of the repair.
