Hi, I'm pretty new to the forums so please be kind?
I'm not sure if I'm even posting this in the right place but, I thought it would be good if there was a guest book facility for the houses. You could see who had been to visit and maybe they could leave comments?

I think it's probably a good idea for comments in a guest book to be not only optional, but visible only to the home owner as some of you have suggested.

It might have to be restricted to "sign your name" so that it shows up who visited when, but doesn't allow people to actually write notes though, in order to prevent people from trolling. Or just have any notes people want to add in addition to their names be restricted so that only the owner of the home can see them (because then it would be no worse than sending someone a mail - you wouldn't have every visitor looking at a guest book full of *** *** *** *** or something stupid like that).

You can set it so your entire guild is allowed to visit. (Actually come to think of it I'm not even sure if it has to be your guild, I think you just type in the name of a guild.)

I also like the idea that someone suggested above - maybe have names and notes, but only the list of names (and visited time) is visible to other guests, the notes are only visible to to owner... Notes should maybe disappear after 30 days like mail, but names should remain for as long as possible.
(Also, there should be variants of the actual guestbook item, but they should all link to the same guestbook (per house). I'm thinking open book and scroll at least, maybe with and without lecterns).PS4 - EU

Sordidfairytale✭✭✭✭✭I like the general idea of allowing people to add their names to a guest book. If it's automatic and it's a large list then the database has to check to see if the person is already on the list. And then it's doing that for a number of houses/instances.
I'd also like it if there were comments, but they were moderated. I'd have to approve them in my guestbook before they were allowed to be public in other words.
Additionally, you can enter anyones home if they have it set that anyone is granted visit rights. (default setting iirc) I was visiting a guild mates house when someone from a PUG traveled to me and was able to visit my guildmates house. Despite the PUG not being in our guild or even friends with my guildmate. Prophetically the PUG mentioned how cool it would be to sign a guest book then.The Vegemite Knight
