Items Disappearing

A couple people in my guild have run into this issue, but is there any one else noticing that random items in your inventory are disappearing?

For example: Last night a guildmate gave me a Painting of Spring. We then went to Vet HelRa . At the end of the run, I noticed I no longer had the painting in my inventory. I checked the vendors to see if I accidentally sold it, and nope not there and it's not on any of my other characters.

Another guildmate today, when getting reading for trials again, just noticed she is missing 2 rings of Lunar Bastion, which she had enchanted.

We both put in tickets to ZOS to look in too.

Has anyone else been having this issue?

    I had some gold and a full stack of embroidery disappear while transferring them between characters through the bank. I don't use any addons either. Just be mindful of which items you are transferring around and verify they are still there afterwards. Support can probably restore some disappearing items.

    Yeah kind of hard for pack rats, ha. I'll keep an eye on my huge item piles then like rare mats or something and high end gear

    I've had a couple of things appear to go missing this patch, /reloadui fixed it for me, I do use a bunch of inventory type addons though so that could be the problem in my case

    Yep, about 200 Rekuta disappeared a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday afternoon I noticed the 6 wedding flowers I'd bought off the Luxury Furnisher had disappeared. I'm not 100% certain I didn't sell them, but after the Rekuta disappearance who knows. I'm going to post a ticket when I log on in a few hours.

    That could be the Mandela Effect. With the way ZoS writes code, anything is possible.

    Do write tickets as they can easily track items and gold transactions, such as "sold to vendor" or "traded with player" or ... simply disappeared.

    I've had two things disappear from my inventory over the past two months, but nothing recently. One was a sword and one was a crown experience scroll that I got from one of the Storm Atronach crown crates. I didn't care about the sword, but the scroll was something I'd actually paid money for. I contacted customer service about that last one, and they were nice enough to replace the scroll.

    It's a very weird problem. :| I'm now a little paranoid about things disappearing, so when I find a furnishing plan that I want, I always make sure to learn it ("use" it) right away, in case it should disappear later.

    This happened to me yesterday. They pulled the rug out from under me! I lost a rug. It just vanished. :'(

    We're talking about the game glitching and deleting things from the inventory on a rare occasion, not us accidentally using or selling the items. We're talking about a glitch that rarely will make something disappear from your inventory.

    From what I read some of you aren't certain you didn't sell the stuff.

    Or have an addon go rogue.

    Locking stuff would fix that, I lock everything I want to keep and have never had my stuff disappear on me.

    ran vaults of madness and picked up breeches of the wormcult in divines i was going to give to a guild mate of mine who ran with us, got to the end of the dungeon, they were gone.

    i did think things were not there after i got them, but thought i was going mad or something, obviously not.

    Somehow a stack of 200 filled soul gems vanished somewhere mid last week...

    maxed bank: FULL -_-
    Stop the grind! Get rid of stupid events and daily-quest gallore. Get rid of "have a chance of 1 in a million to get a piece of 1 in 30 to get a stupid motif or pet... wtf..."
    And at this point just remove all classes and have everyone choose their set of skills. then balance accordingly to skills always used vs. skills never used.

    I had this exact same thing happen last week. I bought a target dummy from my friend and it was gone once I ported from his house.

    I made a thread about it here and submitted a ticket to ZOS. They've been looking into it for a week now (it's been escalated). I'll update my thread once I get a resolution.

    I'm not going to stop bothering them until I get the item restored. But beyond that, hopefully they can find out what is causing the bug.

    I think in situations like these it's just too hard to confirm whether or not you had the items you lost or just forgot you sold them ect.

    Did you check under the furnishing tab under that character for the paining OP?

    I have 12 chars most of which are almost all full on inventory, my bank is max and also relatively full and I have never noticed missing items so I feel sorry that you lost something but as stated I think it would be next to impossible for them to verify such claims.

    I bought a purple Redguard Mat design from a guild store. It came to me by post. Took it out and it appeared in my inventory. Used it from my inventory. Does not show as an object that I can craft. :'(

    Given the usual arduous process to get a response from ZOS CS I have given up before trying to get the mat design or my gold for the purchase back. If it is a known bug and letting CS know might result in something other than R2D2 responding to my report maybe I will report it.

    Did you check every crafting station? Some blueprints appear under provisioning, enchanting, or alchemy for completely illogical reasons.

    I bought a table blueprint once that I thought was lost until I realized the item is crafted at the enchanting station.

    I have one character with a clean inventory. The item disappeared within a minute of obtaining it (there was no selling or inventory management in between).

    This sounds reminiscent of the bank bug at launch that resulted in bank balances and contents being completely deleted.

    Hopefully ZOS will handle this problem better than they handled that one.

    You can't lock furniture items. That option never comes up for me. And I ALWAYS immediately lock anything and everything I plan on keeping, even if it is something stored in my bank (my gold VO and IA jewelery being saved for the Morrowind update can attest to that!).

    Exactly Sydney. It has nothing to do with locking an item.

    Oh and a ticket for this was made and it was sent in with detailed information as to when and by whom the items was given to me etc. etc so ZOS knows right when to look.
