    TES Sorcerers:

    Morrowind: Sorcerer

In-game Description: Though spellcasters by vocation, sorcerers rely most on summonings and enchantments. They are greedy for magic scrolls, rings, armor and weapons, and commanding undead and Daedric servants gratifies their egos.

    Major Skills:

    Enchant
    Conjuration
    Mysticism
    Destruction

Water Walking (Water Walking for 60sec on self)
Bound Dagger (Bound Dagger for 60 sec on self)
Summon Ancestral Ghost (Summon Ancestral Ghost for 60sec on self)

    Oblivion: Sorcerer

Besting the most well-equipped fighters, they rely on the spells of the mystic arts. Unique to these mages is the bodily stamina to be armed with the thickest armor.

    I am correct. Always am.

I didn't mean you. i thought it was pretty obvious to who my comment was directed.

I actually dislike the whole idea of stamina sorcerer. Damn, why do you make these ugly hybrids even viable? By definition sorcerer is not the guy who runs with two swords. On one hand I agree with those who say it's cool to play any style. On other hand when suddenly every second sorc you meet is running with DW, 2H or s&b it makes the fantasy game generally look very stupid.

It's not an hybrid because it focuses only on 1 resource, also mages, are not always only focused on magic, there are spellswords and battlemages, and they use weapons. Fantasy wise a stamina sorcerer is plausible.

The original Sorcerer in the first game were a unique type of mage that didn't have the ability to generate their own Magicka but had a much larger magicka pool than other mage classes and absorbed spells cast on them to replenish their magicka, They also could be played with any weapons and could use leather and chain. . . .

If you're interested in learning, these were the classes in ES Arena, the first ES game:

Necroing a thread I Googled, because that's the kind of person I am today.

I started with TES2 - Daggerfall, skipped Morrowind unfortunately, but still have Oblivion and Skyrim. Pretty sure I never once played a pre-set class in all my days (no such thing by Skyrim of course). But you've reminded me of the broken customization in Daggerfall: Absorb magicka let you absorb your own spells, so just create spells that did ranged damage in an area, cast 'em near your feet and there's infinite damage :) Which also let you reach max level within a few hours just by creating two multi-effect spells that covered all six magic skills and mass-casting them on yourself in an inn. Never actually completed the questline though thanks to the massive random dungeons. Wish I could find a Win10 compatible version of it, flaws and all.

But for the record for anyone keeping track I used to wear light armour, not even the best just the Elven stuff, purely for the weight. But carried a 2 handed daedric dai-katana... even if I rarely used it!

    Groupfinder:
The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

    Rulz of Morrowind:
    • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
    • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
    • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
    • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
    • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
    • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.
