Please make it on these forums so that what client we are using displays under our avatar. PC-NA, PC-EU, Xbox, PS, PC-NA-Steam, or PC-EU-Steam. This would cut out a lot of guess work when people are posting bla bla bla does not work but always forgetting to tell us what version of the client they are using.

I'd go for this. Most other forums I've been a part of have put information under the avatars (e.g., Join Date, Location, etc.). Platform would be one of the most useful.
    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

(Signature idea shamelessly stolen from Abeille.)

Actually you can see "most" peoples platforms already.
If you click on a posters name, example @Jemcrystal , I see in your profile you play on the PC platform. @brandonv516 plays on X-box.
Now, not all people list their platform , but most do.
    Hope this helps.

I thought I had answered that question long ago but couldn't remember. That is where it went. It is so tiny I did not notice it. Plus it does not say if your are NA or EU. Thx for pointing me to it.

Was it optional? Because I am thinking upfront and mandatory. As in you should have to answer that question when making an account here. I don't see why anyone would want to keep that info obscure/hidden.

Unfortunately, the same people would forget to tell the forum software what client and server they are using. We can set the platform, already. How many have? It seems that any time I have wondered, the person has not listed it. To me, that means that the people who really need to have platform and server listed, wouldn't.

First, Steam is not a platform for the game so adding it provides little of use outside of maybe a Steam ID which can probably be changed for the forums.

Second, there are players that play on more than one server. Most common is being on both NA and EU but I expect there are some who play on PC and Consoles.

It wouldn't help on technical issues, as people would still need to differentiate between consoles, as well as between NA and EU etc. On everything else it would simply duplicate discussions unnecessarily.

It really shouldn't be necessary in any event for platform and server to be displayed, it doesn't take a particularly high IQ to realise that when you're raising a performance issue you need to mention the platform and server you're playing on.

Actually, if there is a problem buying Crowns or ESO Plus, installing the game, or something like that, Steam could be important information. Not certain it really qualifies as a platform, in this case, but it can be significant.

ESO Reddit has platform flair. But people still forget to toggle it on.
